Stunning rock climbs with access to the starting points made easier by the cable car and chair lift up to the Index! Views across the valley to the Mere de Glace and the Mont Blanc massif are fantastic. Did the Voie Gaspard route - E1, brilliant. Great walks for those not equipped for the crags.

Beautiful, wilderness of mountains. You can choose a hiking route from "medium" difficulty to "difficult with climbing elements" or just walk any route so far you feel you good and safe. There are wild marmottes, chamois, and even royal eagle can be seen above your head. Lots of wild flowering rhododendrons... Very beautiful views on Mount Blanc massif.

OK so the Aiguilles Rouges may be nowhere near as high as the Mont Blanc massif across the valley and in summer the snow remains only in patches rather than as great snowfields and glaciers but the Aiguilles Rouges has some fantastic walking routes and accessible spiky peaked summits; I enjoyed every moment exploring numerous facets of the area. Highly recommended.
