Perfect little gem found in Courchevel 1550. They took us in on a busy night with no booking, lovely pasta but no pizza's which was a bit strange! I would still return tho!

What a fantastic little Italian, they try to give you traditional home cooked food which is exactly what they deliver. I very refreshing change to see a Italian menu with no pizza on it, if wish to have pizza there is a place just next door which I'm guessing is part of the same restaurant.

We were super tired after a long drive to Courchevel. This restaurant was next door to where we were staying. Seemed like a nice place. From the moment we walked we felt like it's not gonna be a good experience. the lady serving food was not very nice. She told us to seat at the empty table. We waited for a while but no one came to bring us menus. My boyfriend went and asked if we can grab a menu. The lady barked at him and told him " no! I am coming, go sit down!" We ordered water and appetizers. She asked if we wanted still or sparkling.. we wanted still, she brought sparkling and disappeared. Some other waiter brought us appetizers. I took a bite of the prawn and had to spit it out. It was very bad, mushy texture and smell like ammonia and chlorine.
I did research and found "Lobster tails and shrimp should not, repeat not, have a strong smell of ammonia when they are cooked,`` states Doris Hicks, seafood technology specialist with the University of Delaware`s Advisory Services. ``The ammonia odor indicates spoilage.``
It was hard to find our waitress, then she walked by a few times serving other tables and totally ignored us. Other dish wasn't that great either. It tasted like It was precooked and warmed up. We ordered eggplant trio. We definitely didn't want to order anything else from this place. The waitress also argued about sparkling water, she claimed that she gave us still. Really? They charge for bottled water but it's not a bottled water. They refill the bottles. What a rip off!!

We arrived late into Courchevel and found Casa Italia as we walked into town. We didn't have a booking but they found us a lovely table in their front room. Food was absolutely amazing and very reasonable. We shared 2 starters between 3 of us (3 way melanzane and truffle mozzarella), they were absolutely delicious but v filling, could have shared the 3 way melanzane! Mains were equally fabulous (we had the fillet and the lamb). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a meal here and would definitely go back!

12 Euro for drink, huge panini ( home made bread) , frites ( freshly made) and dessert ( excellent brownie). The best value and nicest lunch we had had for 4 days.
Nice Italian coffee too. Just down the stairs across the road from the Grangette bubble station. Not to far with skis etc.
