Description: Our restaurant "Der Pschorr" is a popular bavarian restaurant in the center of Munich – directly at the Viktualienmarkt. A meeting place for all of Munich, as well as for visitors and friends of the city. We cultivate traditional beer culture and serve up top-quality regional products. Everyone can enjoy the excellent beer, bavarian cuisine and the friendly service. Highlights: We still serve beer from wooden barrels ‐ traditionally cooled with ice bars in a barrel cellar. For all meals: Regional sourcing is important to us. We support the local agriculture by using fresh regional products on a daily base for our bavarian cuisine. In a central location, close to the Marienplatz, "Pschorr" can easily be accessed by public transport. From the many sights, hotels, shops and offices of the city, it's also in walking distance. Barrier-free access to the all areas of the restaurant, beer cellar, banquet room and toilet facilities (glass elevator in the stairwell). See you ...

Stopped in here after a nice walk around Munich. Later in the evening, so the staff was a bit scarce and not the friendliest. It was OK, as we were relaxing and enjoying the beautiful restaurant. The menu had many options and our food and beverages were great.

Managed to get a table without previously booking (although I believe that one of us was mistaken for Herr Platt that had actually reserved that table).

Der Pschorr has the feel and buzz of a Bavarian pub/restaurant. The place was full but service was very fast - of course, beers came first, within a couple of minutes. Menus are available in German, English, Italian, French and Russian (if I'm not mistaken) and truly capture the Bavarian passion for meat in general, and for pork in particular.

Food was tasty and if portions are as huge as our Schnitzels, you will struggle to finish your meal.

A little pricy, but the overall experience is well worth it.

While walking around, we came to Der Pschorr and asked if we could sit anywhere. The server said yes and that was all we heard. 7 different wait staff walked by us and totally ignored us. The gentleman near us spoke German and was served. We were not obnoxious, and other than asking about seating we talked quietly to each other. We were not in any way out of place. We had excellent service in every other place in Munich. There is no reason to not serve us except we spoke English.
