A beautiful stone building placed in Jakobsplatz. Not very big and not out of common. There are at least three more impressive churches in Nuremberg,St Sebaldus,St Lorenz and Frauenkirche. But this one worth a short visit.
Across the street is another interesting church,Elisabethkirche.

Thank zuv

St. Jacob (St. James in English) is a beautiful Lutheran church that has preserved its Catholic heritage. The folks minding the church and gift shop are simply wonderful. The art inside is truly beautiful. Don't miss it. It's right on a fun public square with a great market and spectacular fountain nearby.

Great old structure which is still used today as a stop for pilgrims traveling on the Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela. The high altar dates from about 1370 and it also contains great works of art from the schools of Veit Stoß and Michael Wolgemut, Albrecht Dürer's teacher. A true place of tranquility and definitely worth a visit.

The church is of gothic style. Unfortunately the Romanesque chapel built in the thirteenth century was pulled down. It is not a big church but it’s very well bedecked. It has a single nave. It’s worth being visited and to go there the promenade from St. Lorenz church is rather pleasant. Maybe the most interesting part thereof is the high altar with its reredos from the fourteenth century. The organ is a very good one. Therefore, if the occasion arises of listening to it, for instance at a concert, it shouldn’t be missed. Regretfully enough, the church was badly damaged during the second World War but it was adequately restored
