My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while we were visiting the Christmas Markets. I really enjoyed the room and the large bathtub. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Nuremberg as it is only a 15 min walk from the train. The breakfast is also good at this hotel but is busy from 8:30 - 9:30 so you might want to avoid those times. We also arrived about an hour before check-in time and they had no problem giving us a room when we arrived.

we arrive quite late in the evening and we're greeted by the friendly staff. Have a little problem with the parking garage as in the middle of old town, space are limited but we're able to go thru it smoothly with the help of the staff. When they say max height of 1.5m, yes, you really have no allowance on that. They give good advice on the food that we should take and directions to the best in Nuremberg. We enjoy our stay here.

Room tip: we got the room next to the elevator but it's ok

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Warm, clean, comfortable & superb location. Short taxi ride to airport approx 20 mins. Nice reception/bar area. Would be nice to have tea/ coffee making facilities in the room but overall could not have chosen better. Enjoyed my stay.

Dear Bridget B, thank you for having taken the time to share your recent review with us. We are delighted to see that you have enjoyed your "Xmas market" stay with us and we were able to demonstrate the great service and offering we are proud to provide. Indeed our rooms do not have coffee and tea facilities. However, we do offer a 24/7 bar service. Here we offer craving caffeine or beer, Franconian wine and savoury and sweet snacks. Everything is also available to go – you can easily take it with you into your room. We know it is not comparable with in-room facilities but it is also not a bad alternative. :-) Therefore we are hoping there will be many more visits to follow and however, please rest assured that we have passed on your comments to our director. We arrived at 11.30 pm on a Friday night to be met by a surly male older receptionist who gave us no information about the hotel or breakfast times/costs. There are no excuses. In the hotel business, this sort of attitude should cost him his job! Thankfully, the day staff were much friendlier. That aside, there is no better place to stay than the Agneshof. The location is ideal, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is all that you could want at a reasonable price, just 7 Euros per head. If I could give the hotel one recommendation it is that each room should have a minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. When guests arrive late they want a cold drink and a snack. This is a big missed revenue opportunity. Taxis from the airport cost 20 Euro’s in a 15-20 minute trip.

Dear frodosring08, thank you for your comprehensive review following your recent stay at Agneshof Nuremberg. We are pleased to hear that on the whole you enjoyed your stay and we are happy to read that our day staff have enhanced your stay. However we are disappointed to hear your comments regarding the night shift staff as this is certainly not the usual kind standard of service that we deliver. We will certainly be passing these comments on to our management in order to evaluate the unkindness of his behavior. We pride ourselves on our customer service, as you can see from other reviews, and we are sorry that on this occassion we have not met your expectations. As you mentioned the room is clean and comfortable and provides essentials you need. As well as the 21st century essential of free fast wifi of course. We found that we could deliver this for every guest at an affordable price by taking away the things that they might not use such as a minibar and coffee and tea making facilities. However our lobby bar is open 24/7 and you can take drinks with you to your room. For sure it is not the same as having a minibar in your room, but perhaps it helps just a little bit? Once again we thank you for your review and hope to see you again soon. Warm regards from Nuremberg, your Agneshof Hotel · Partner of SORAT Hotels

It's a lovely, quiet hotel, excellent location closed to Nuremberg Castle and Albrecht Durer's House. There are many restaurants in this area (for example Hutt'n Essen & Trinken). Great breakfast, friendly staff. It was just one problem: in these 3 days that we stayed in hotel the maid never changed the bath towels. I don't know if this is regular, we went this year in Venice, Malta, Rhodes and never happened.

Thank you for your four star review, dear Cosmina1900. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. Although it used to be that many hotels would automatically change towels on a daily basis, this is no longer the case. We change towels every three days - unless asked otherwise and like most modern hotels the rule is if you leave the towel on the floor they will be replaced with fresh ones. We have gone towards a change in policy for two main reasons. Firstly, it allows us to help save the earth, as there is an environmental cost in washing towels every day. Secondly, it allows us to save some money, which can then be spent on improving amenities for guests elsewhere. However be confident that if requested, we would gladly change them - but encourage less laundry to "save the environment." Should you be travelling back to Nuremberg please contact us directly so we will personally take care of your reservation and all your needs. We very much look forward to seeing you again.
