We ate at the Leibniz Klause and had a good German meal - the only drawback was the coating on the schnitzel and cordon bleu was quite salty. If not for that the rating would have higher. The staff were courteous and attentive and the atmosphere very good. The apple strudel was very good but the creme brûlée was just average. Overall it was a good dinner experience, but nothing special.

Why? The best veal condon bleu on the planet! Add great drinks, a huge number of wonderful entrees, exemplary service, and a convenient location and that’s the whole package.

This small intimate restaurant in Charlottenburg has a menu with many German traditional staples listed as well as some French influenced items. Good wines (a good Spanish red and French rosé by the glass), food and service. The kartoffelsuppe (potato soup) was delicious, the rump steak a thick slice perfectly cooked medium-rare without asking. Sauce bernaise and bratkartoffeln (pan roasted potatoes) were extra and could be improved upon. The calf’s liver with onions was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying potato mash was one of the best ever tasted. Good service with eye to detail. Not inexpensive, but overall recommended.

Very nice German restaurant recommanded by our Intercontinental Hotel, with a large choice of typical german courses as well as German wines. We had a nice dinner there in a comfortable room. Staff very nice. Menu is also in English.
