Get off at Ostbahnhof and walk the full length. An eclectic selection of wall art of mixed skill. Opening in wall where you can access the former no-man's land - site of so many failed escapes.

Great little museum. Doesn't appear to be much on appearance but it's the stories of those involved that bring it to life.

We visited the East Side Gallery, which is a mile-long stretch of the Belin Wall and is one of the largest remaining portions of the divide between East and West Germany. The graffiti's on the wall are quite nice and some are rather beautiful and funny, rspecially Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Honecker in a fraternal kiss. Overall it was a very enjoyable visit to a historic and tumultuous part of Germany's past history, and a wall that once divided two nations and which has now united them.

The East side gallery is about 2km long. There is some great art all along the East side of the wall. The west side of the wall has more name tag graffiti rather than art on it but is on the side of the river and plenty of people sit and drink beer here looking out to the river. The atmosphere was good!

You really step back in time and appreciate the size of the wall. The art work is varied and thought-provoking.
