Gunia hotel is a small hotel in an old building with clean rooms in different sizes.
Owners are very nice and warm try to make a good time for their guests.
Breakfast is very good. U-bahn is on reach connecting to all other important places in the city very easy.
KaDeWe and shopping area is just a few minutes walk.

Room Tip: different rooms for different budgetary!

Back to berlin two years after leaving - wanted to be close to my old neighbourhood so took this hotel (had walked past thousands of times!!) returned to berlin for business and pleasure but because of ifa fair everything very expensive

Anyway.....

Greeted with a friendly face asking if we need help, shown our room, very nice - altbau building so high ceilings and wooden floors and every exceptionally clean and tidy - was no problem getting a cot for our son and this was ready and waiting for us

Perfect location if you like schoeneberg too!

They made a huge fuss or our son, showing him the fish tank and letting him feed them too!

Several languages spoken as well!

Would certainly stay here again!

Thank you for your warm welcome

(Only possible improvement would be kettle with tea and coffee in the room)

This is more like a guest house, not really a hotel.
The lady is very friendly and welcoming.

We had an apartment which is in the ground floor with a nice private garden. To get at the apartment you need to go down the tiny stairs which might be difficult for older or overweight people.

No sun or daylight in the rooms.

The accomodation is basic and the furniture is old. The bathroom is fairly clean.
However, the apartment got never cleaned during our 5 night stay. The towels were never changed during this time.
The kitchen we didn't really use but it is also very poor.

The location is great. Close to metro station.

The breakfast is very basic cold breakfast and it's not a buffet. You get it on the table served. No fruits, no salad. Only cheese, salami, one boiled egg, jam, youghurt and filter coffee.

The internet works good.

For what we paid I was not pleased.

We had a beautiful room with large beds, sofas, plenty of space in an antique style enterieur. The building itself is very nice, with a spiced up baroque overtone. The crew is really helpful and friendly. The bars, restaurants and the market nearby sums up a five star experience, definitely.
