A couple of friends and I have just eaten at Dresslers. While the food was great, though a tad salty, the service left much to be desired.
The male staff seemed somewhat helpful, though they were busy with their own tables. However, the blonde female waitress was unhelpful, vacant, and bordering on rude. We had to flag down a male waiter to get food and also to request the bill. At which time, the female waitress stated she needed the table and asked us to move. She never bothered to check on us, or ask if we needed anything else, though we sat for 10 minutes with empty plates in front of us.
Again, I must emphasize that the food was lovely.
The blonde, female waitress was the only problem with the restaurant.

As August is chantarell season we decided to try some dishes with it.
They had some "middle courses" that with focus on just chantarelles. We were two persons so we ordered three courses to share and when the food came we were surprised by the size of the meals....they were huge!! There was no way we were gonna finish them. Both the food and the wine was great and the service was good.
So I recommend this place for good food and everyone will be full and happy when they leave.

While walking up and down the 'Ku-damm' in the evening. Could not make a decision where to have a nice Saturday evening meal. A sudden heavy rain shower made us go to have dinner at this restaurant. How lucky we were. Had a great meal and nice wine. Service was friendly and professional.

We came across this restaurant on exiting "The Story of Berlin". it had immediate curb appeal and on viewing the menu we saw that they did a two course Business lunch including espresso on work days for 9.5 Euros exceptional value. The choice changed depending on the day. Today being Friday we opted in as the main course was Monkfish on a risotto: I had a salad to start my wife a chicken soup. With two beers the total bill came to under 25 Euros without a tip.

Service was extremely good and very friendly.
Highly recommended.

I'm afraid this review can only be about the awful service we received here because we didn't stay to eat after the staff were so rude.

We tried to place a reservation online and were promised a reply to confirm but this never arrived.

As it was a Sunday evening and restaurants in the area didn't seem too busy we decided to go anyway to see if our reservation had been made.

On arrival we were confronted with one waiter who looked at us angrily as we stood near the door to ask about a table. He didn't bother speaking to us and simply waved an arm in the general direction of the bar.

We went in and we're totally ignored for a few minutes by a waitress making a personal phone call. We then explained that we'd placed a booking online and wanted to check if a table was available.

It was clear that there were several empty tables for two but we wanted to check against the reservation to be sure they weren't holding a table open.

She looked at us without a smile, handed us a business card and promptly disappeared.

The original grumpy waiter then appeared behind the bar, totally ignored us and even deliberately looked in he opposite direction when we tried to talk to him.

He poured two drinks and stomped off past us again.

By this point we'd enough and found somewhere else that actually had people there who appeared to want to serve their customers. . .
