New age atmosphere already a mix of cafees, restaurants, shops, playgrounds and superb views. Lots of space and room to breathe and get away from the City hussle.

The newly created Lohsepark is well suited for a short walk with the dog . There is also a lot of space for playgrounds and and a memorial to the deportations of Jews to the concentration camps during the Second World War.

Walking around the warehouse district totally changed our view of Hamburg. The stunning bridges, waterways, architecture.... We went to the Food Market in one of the warehouse buildings and had a lovely lunch, and so much choice of food types, tarte flambé, Indian, sushi, burgers, pizza etc etc. We had a window seat in the tarte flambé section and enjoyed the view and watching the boats go by. It is extremely family friendly and a great stop for some lunch.

In a city that maybe lack bigger tourist attractions, this is a nice place to go and experience some nostalgia and true hamburger history. You can compare the district to many Dutch channels.
