Owner description: The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

Visited with family and friends. We were 11 - from UK and Germany. We from the UK do not speak German, and the guide who spoke very good English not once did he explain the history to us in English. I had to read snippets from the English guidebook they gave and from googling the history of the Arena. I would ask questions in English and many times he just answered me in German. It was very wasteful. They should have simultaneous translation to cater for non-German speakers

A nice place to take a look at Frankfurt of course when the weather is fine....

Fantastic lift that brings you up and down but the last floor to the balcony should go by walk

The stadium is conveniently located just one train stop from the airport and 15 mins from downtown. A host for 2006 World cup and it shows; a modern stadium and good view from all the seats. A lot of small places to buy bear and snacks outside the stadium. Great atmosphere, friendly fans, safe environment.

Went to see Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen here. Its a brilliant stadium and we really enjoyed the experience. Getting too & from the Stadium was easy on the train from the city center and only took about 20 mins. The Frankfurt fans were very friendly and it was a good atmosphere. Had some beer & food outside the stadium. We had great seats behind the goal €14.50 each although we paid €65 each from Viagogo. Would definitely go again.

A great stadium, as it is pretty modern and focused on being perfect for a football match (though it also hosts a lot of music event etc.). The VIP areas are luxurious and fitting Frankfurt's state being one of the richest cities in Germany.
