Cut to the chase, the food may not be Michelin star, and the service may not be for those who are 'pretentiously' minded, but if you make the effort to talk to the staff, engage with the other customers and soak up the laid back ambience, then the experience will be more positive than negative. Spent our second evening here only because of the convenience to our hotel, coupled to our preference of menu, and had a great time. Simply put, spent time to talk to the staff, and spent not a fortune on the meal (and drinks). Good quality, fair price, excellent rapport (if you make the effort). Didn't get the name of our waiter, but whoever said the Germans don't have a sense of humour was so wrong. "Ni hao" (you had to be there) and thanks for a great evening. "Zaijian" until "nachstes jahr". We will be back.
