Horrible .. Rooms are very small and breakfast is less than normal
Not too far from Dom but there are many options better
I will never visit this place again and I warn everyone to keep it away in his trip plan
By the way .. I learned from my mitake .

We were pleased with the location of this hotel as it was within easy walking distance of the Cathedral and restaurants. However, we did not sleep well as the hotel itself was uncomfortably warm at all times (even when it was raining outside). There was no air conditioning, only a desk fan in the room. The room was rather small and we spent as little time as possible in the room. The wifi worked intermittently in the room and we went to the lobby to get a better signal. The staff were friendly at all times and the breakfast was fine.

Well positioned for the centre of Cologne, easy walking distance in a quiet side street just off main street. Our group had several rooms. Our room with twin beds was spacious, clean and well equipped including Fridge, free mini safe, and large TV. The bathroom was massive with corner shower and "electric dual flush loo" and had obviously been refurbished to a very high standard..
Being on the rear of the hotel, our room (105) had large windows looking over a busy noise. As the weather was very hot we left the windows open at night, but from 6:00 am the road noise and an irritating loose manhole cover meant the windows were closed for the final snoozes.
Our friends were happy with their rooms which varied and though not as big or as well equipped were more that adequate and the rooms on the front of the hotel are very quiet.
The hotel was run by Andreas, who was very friendly and extremely helpful. The other staff were helpful but their English not too good, but were the ones at fault we should learn German.
Breakfast was lovely with masses of different fruits, yogurts, cooked meats and cheeses, as well as boiled eggs and hot scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage plus toast, breads and cakes and toast, excellent!
The underground was 100 yards away only 1 stop from central station, but we walked everywhere
Overall fantastic value and so handy for the City centre.

Room tip: Rooms on the rear are quite noisy if you leave the windows open, but glazing is good if the weather isnt too hot. Be aware reception closes at midnight so if you are going to return late remember your key and if initial arrival is late you need to ring for a code for a keysafe to gain entry.

This hotel was the most reasonably priced hotel in our trip. Unlike all the other hotels this one provided as much mineral water and apple juice as you wanted for free. They also had all kinds of fruit that you could have. The buffet breakfast was very well done, lots to choose and very delightful to look at.....this was also included in the room price. Our only problem was that we got a room overlooking a main road and it was noisy. There was a subway under it as well. Request a room overlooking the ally....were the entrance to the lobby is.

Room tip: Request a room overlooking the ally....the small road that the entrance to the hotel is from. The otherside is overlooking a busy road and subway...very noisy.
