When we entered our room we wondered if there'd been a mistake with the booking as the it was almost as big as an apartment, but no this is what you get for very little money here in Chemnitz.
The wifi wasn't working when we arrived but was soon fixed and worked fine for us most of the time.
The breakfast room was a bit weird as for some bizarre reason the TV was tuned into a reality German cop show with people getting busted by overweight German coppers.....Not what I want to watch in the morning over my coffee and croissants to be honest.
The city itself is a bit odd as it's undergoing a transformation of building so there are lovely buildings next to derelict ones.
The city park is just around the corner too and is quite pretty.
If you want a really, really good restaurant just around the corner is the Shalom Restaurant in Heinrich Zille-Strasse 15 , 09111 Chemnitz.
Simply the best meal we had in our holiday travelling around Europe & one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Don't miss out.
In summary this is quite an odd place BUT it's very, very good value.More
