Stayed at the Klosterhof with my husband and two german friends for a short break in Dresden. Airport pick up was arranged to and from hotel - a really lovely experience and very reasonably priced. We had a mezannine room which was very spacious, clean and quiet, with a good bathroom / shower - and plenty of hot water.
We did not want to stay in Dresden itself, and the Klosterhof is ideally situated for buses and trains to Dresden and the surrounding area (we has a lovely day in Meissen). The hotel breakfast was copious, with an immense choice. They have a 'special' every night that ranged from a local beer or liquer to a 'special priced' staeak meal. Food was delicious and the menu varied. Service was always good - they even made us an afternoon pot tea. Whilst on Teas, there is a varied selection to chose form - even for the
English pallette. It was a cold time of the year but the hotel was warm and the log fire in the main resturant was very welcome .
Reception staff were always helpful and polite, as were the Bar and Restaurant staff.
I can only see one drawback with the Hotel, and that is that there is little on-site car-parking, so anyone arriving by car will need to use the limited road space outside the property. That said though, I would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting this part of Germany..
