Friendly check in. No room fridge, no AC so lucky it’s not summer. OK Mattress, but the pillow is made of air!? Parking must be made at their garage at 12 € per day or a town garage a bit far away. GREAT breakfast. Lots of restaurants within meters. 50 meters to the merchant bridge.

Great stay in a clean, modern hotel strategically located in old town Erfurt. Staff was young, kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good in a room of windows looking out onto a local street, and our room was of good size. Would gladly stay there again.

A very impressive, clean, spacious and modern hotel. Friendly, accommodating staff, good breakfast. Centrally located within walking distance of the bridge and main shopping area. We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

The hotel is placed in a very good location to explore the city.
I have been hosted in the old hotel building and not in the more modern rooms.
The room was ok, but there was no air conditioning and I got some very hot days, making sleeping at night rather hard. Wifi was very poor from my room, so it was not easy to work from there.
People working at the hotel were helpful to fix a booking issue I had upon arrival and also to help with any other issues.
All in all ok, but not great. The newer rooms look better value.

Room Tip: Get a room in the newer area, not the "main" building

The original building on this site was bombed in 1944 and rebuilt between 1947 and 1953. After a period of office use, the property was converted to a small hotel in 2003. A large garden extension, completed in 2015, has added 54 new rooms and suites to the original 36. We had a very pleasant, large, room on the first floor of the new building, looking out over Melenbergstrasse, a quiet street with little traffic. There is air conditioning, but you can also open the door to the 'Juliet' balcony. The bathroom is good (with better lighting than the room itself), beds are comfortable, there is a desk for computer work, and there are plenty of electric sockets. Wifi signal is excellent. TV channels do not include any English language channels. Mineral water is provided, but bring your own kettle, mugs and supplies if you want tea and coffee. There is a separate breakfast room for the new block. The tables are rather close together and the room could do with more circulation space round the food counters, but there is plenty of choice - fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, meats, cheeses, breads and pastries, eggs, bacon etc. The staff are efficient, polite and helpful. A very well run hotel.
