Very small restaurant, but very very good food.
We didn't book but the owner gave us a table. Very friendly environment, and the owner (waiter) was doing every thing.
We ordered a guacamole. It was incredible. And a spanish tortillas, nice.
The paella with fish was amazing. The rice was cooked perfectly, the fish was fresh. Maybe they need to use less salt for every thing but I suggest to try it.

Thank LuckHappy

Absolutely delicious food and we’ve tried almost everything from the menu during the evening. Each meal was better than the other. The famous salad is something to fly all the way to Malaga again!
And we’ve had a wonderful time thank to the amazing staff.
To sum up - having a dinner at El Gastronauta should definitely be on your TO DO LIST in this beautiful city.
My strongest recommendations!

Malaga was incredibly busy on the Saturday night we went to El Gastronauta, a booking was essential as they were having to turn people away. We ate the tapas - croquettas, pil-pil, skewered chicken and the baby squid - all of it great, followed up by the brownie. The waiting staff really helped to make this experience as they were funny, attentive and kind. Good food, busy restaurant.

The hotel recommended this for the best paella. It is a small quaint place. Food was excellent, service was friendly and attentive. It was a wonderful meal and dining experience . One of our wait staff made the delicious brownie dessert.
I knew from the start when I saw the menu I would love this place. Their motto is: Life taken easy tastes better.
