This collection of Picasso's works is very well presented-using chronological order and explanations of the artists life and motivations to draw the visitors through the experience. Great opportunity to learn more about the Malaga native and his journey.

Audio guides are provided, slotted into a huge board in the central courtyard. But the instructions for their use are utterly useless. Dozens of people mill around trying to find a handset in their language. The answer is, simply dial in 195 + Play for English. Astonishing that this isn't explained anywhere.
Go in the morning, the queue as we left at 3:30pm stretched down the street.
There is a good selection of Picasso's drawings/paintings. Some of them are explained by the audio guide. I had hoped for a short film explaining Picasso's life but there isn't. Instead there are two theatres showing the life of Fellinni (film maker), and his photographer.
I do not recommend this gallery for young children (there were many), they would be completely bored.

Outside this museums are stores selling prints of Picasso's well known work. None of that work is displayed in this museum. The experience is interesting as this is where he was born; but Malaga is not where he lived and created his most alluring work. We went on Sunday when the museum is free.

It’s a small collection and I found €9 to be expensive, good that audio guide is included, you get some insight. Buy ticket online if there is a long line to wait and skip the line. Not a “must-see” compared to the one in Barcelona, save your time for other places in Malaga, unless you are an avid lover of Picasso art.
