The Pension Martinez is located at walking distance from all the main attractions and the price is very reasonable taking into account the location. The rooms are quite basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. The host and staff were friendly and helpful. It is located on a small secondary street, but it can be a bit noisy if someone is walking by. I personally did not like the towels, as they felt kind of like paper on the skin. All considered, it is a good deal if you are looking for a place in the city centre for a reasonable price.

I have hardly come across hosts who are more warm, friendly and helpful than the old lady running this place. The property isn't that great but the warmth of the host more than compensates for the lack of amenities.

Good place to stay for a backpack trip, situated very close to the city centre and walkable from Alhambra

Good location in city center (10 min walk to Bib-Rambla, 30 min walk to Alhambra). Hotel located on small silent street. Cosy room with nice balcony. Friendly staff. Good place to visit Granada by car.

Very bad noise insulation. If someone walks the street the sound was like he was inside the room. And if someone carries the trolley or suitcase, it was impossible to sleep. Just one towel per person.

The hotel doesn't have it's own car parking, but they show where a free parking is located. However it's rather far away from the hotel (15 min walking).

Room Tip: I think rooms on the top floors are more silent.

Great price and location but ask for a room that doesn't face the front. There is a bar around the corner that is loud at night. Also there is construction directly across the tiny street that starts at 7:30 am. That isn't their fault but just be prepared. Very nice and helpful but if you are a light sleeper beware.

There are thousands of different hostels in Granada, so it was hard to decide where to stay. We finally chose Pension Martinez simply because of the free parking they promoted. As we had a small car and a limited budget we did not spend the same amount for a carpark than for the accommodation. Pension Martinez was an ok place. We were greeted friendly and the man at the reception showed us on a map the free parking. It turned out that this is an area in Granada where you can park you car on the roadside for free. It is close to the center so we could have chosen every hostel there having the "free parking". Well, we parked our car (it was easy to find a place).

The room itself was really clean and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels. We did not expect this for the prize. The location was good - all the sights within walking distance. At night there was not much noise from the street but from other rooms. We did not sleep very good. All in all, we missed some atmosphere in the hostel. There was nothing to complain and the staff was friendly. But it had a cold, unpersonal atmosphere.
