This sweet little hotel is in the heart of the old town. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the guest rooms and common areas are lovely. The entrance is a step through an old door off a pedestrian street and into a sanctuary of coll and calm. You can't go wrong here!

This charming hotel is located right in the heart of the old town. It is a short walk to all of the main tourist attractions. After our visit to the Alhambra we walked back down to the hotel. The staff are friendly and speak good English and recommended an excellent tapas bar (los Manuelas). Contrary what another review said, the breakfasts are excellent: a selection of breads, sliced meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruits, and a sort of potato frittata.

Spend two nights here while seeing the Alhambra. Very helpful at reception desk. Wonderful breakfast, and included with price of hotel, unlike other hotels. Room very clean. Atrium great for drink in the afternoon. Only downside I remember would have been walking up several steps to entrance of hotel, but once inside someone took our luggage. Rooms was a bit small but that is fairly typical of hotels in Europe. This is a great location. Bus forAlhambra just a few steps away and everything else in walking distance.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for your nice comment referring Casa Capitel Nazari Hotel. We are glad to know that you spent such a lovely time in the hotel, that you enjoyed our breakfast and that you appreciated the location. Being a XVI Century building, 1503´s Palace, the original construction is conserved and the size of the rooms are also different, I promise you that you ´ll have a bigger room in your next stay with us for you and for your partner.
We would like to thank you once again for your time and your comments.

To begin I want to say that the desk staff is very responsible and quickly resolves issues.
We recently stayed for two nights & experienced three different rooms. The first room was small, dark, very worn (not in a charming way) & not particularly clean. We took photos in case they were needed. The shower stall was very small & using the toilet took some negotiation. After a long hot day we turned on the air-conditioning unit. Soon there was a constant drip of water that was causing a pool of water on the floor. To make matters worse the unit is directly above the bed. We contacted the desk to report the problem & they sent us to another room to sleep. They promised we would be moved to another room for the second night. What shocked us was the difference in the rooms. We thought we were in a different hotel. The room was large, beautiful & clean. True to their word they moved us to a different room the second night. Again a vast improvement from our first room. The bathroom was large & had a jacuzzi tub. The room's furnishings were in very good condition.
As mentioned in other reviews you can hear the noise from adjacent rooms. The hotel is easy to find from the plaza since there are signs providing direction. The hotel provides information about parking. To save us parking fees, they made arrangments with our rental car agency for us to pick us the car in the morning instead of the evening. We didn't eat breakfast as there are many wonderful cafes to choose from.
I would recommend the hotel, but I suggest that you ask to see the room before accepting the keys.

First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time reviewing our Hotel after your recent stay.
We are sorry for your first night stay. You did fortunately very well informing the front desk that immediately offer you the possibility to move to an other room. This affordable hotel is located in a convenient area. It is between the main plaza which has nightly street entertainment and at the bottom of the Albaicin neighborhood. Across a narrow river and at the top of the hill is the Alhambra. The rooms in the hotel are scattered around open air patio areas within this historic home. Ours was small and very basic but the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We were on the main floor. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the cleaning woman was quick to bring extra pillows when I asked. There are many staircases throughout the house to reach the other rooms and there is no elevator. The air conditioning was perfect. Breakfast is a basic cold buffet in a smallish room one flight up from the main floor. The entrance to the hotel is a flight of stairs up a small alleyway. You would need to be dropped off by taxi as the road is closed to regular traffic. If you bring a car contact the hotel for instructions. It was easy to park and reach the hotel and they paid the taxi ride. I thought this was a very interesting place to stay.

Room tip: Stay on main level so you do not here air conditioning compressors on the roof.

Dear Guest
First of all, we would like to thank you for your comment following your recent stay at the Hotel Casa Capitel Nazarí. We are glad to know that you spent such a lovely time in the hotel and neighborhood.
As you perfectly described , the hotel is situated in a restricted area that is why the hotel strongly recommends parking the car in one of the two parking it has agreement with. The Hotel allows you to take a taxi to reach the hotel for the first time and the taxi is refunded.
Once again, thank you for your time; we will be pleased to see you in other occasion.
