The room was clean and adequate, but the woman working at the desk was unpleasant and unhelpful. It took forever for her to answer the phone, so I went downstairs with my question. She behaved as though she had been "interrupted". I'm very fluent in Spanish and love all the Spanish people I've met travelling in Spain. However, this woman needs some training in social skills and if she worked for me, she'd be fired.

Located within walking distance to all major attractions, Alcazar, Playa des Toros, plaza des Espana etc... Older hotel but has all the basics including a good AC unit and nice breakfast. Staff was polite and friendly

We got a great deal through booking.com (252€ for 5 nights) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We knew from reviews that the hotel was a bit dated so had managed our expectations. Our room was very spacious with a large ensuite bathroom (excellent shower within the bath), a fridge & good air conditioning. The two large single beds pushed together made for a very comfortable sleep and the long pillow spanning both beds was excellent-a real bonus. The room and bathroom were spotless and towels and sheets changed during our stay. We didn't have breakfast so didn't need to have much contact with staff but when we did (at reception) they were polite and efficient. The location right on the edge of Seville's wonderful old town, in a pretty square, was a huge plus and meant we were able to walk everywhere which we love. There are so many cafés in the area for breakfast so definitely no need to have breakfast in hotel. If you plan to be out and about most of your stay in Seville and appreciate a clean, spacious, cool, comfortable room to fall into when you return (without breaking the bank), then this is the hotel for you.

On arrival the receptionist was quite brusque and not very welcoming. Obviously we interrupted his conversation with his friend. No information regarding direction to room, breakfast times, recommendations of local restaurants etc. Other staff polite and helpful though. We never saw any evidence of the restaurant being used for residents. The doors to it seemed to be curtained and closed whenever we passed by, and there was no menu on view. We had a room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the small public square. Happened to be very noisy on one night due to a local festival, just people hanging about late - nothing festive. Air con was good but noisy, in fact we had to turn it off because it got too chilly. Wi-fi was free and connection good. The door key is manual and needs to be fully pushed in , not swiped, to work. Another detail missed at reception, as was the need to hire a manual key for the room safe. The cold breakfast was adequate, but the few hot items didn't look very appetising. The public rooms and our bedroom were a good size and very clean. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the start of the main tourist area, the immediate vicinity being mainly local shops , bars etc. Hotel did allow a 12 noon checkout time and storage of suitcases though, which was much appreciated owing to our return flight times. Certainly not what I think of as a 4 star hotel. The location is a trade off , being slightly quieter vs proximity to sights. No restaurant. Disappointing reception after a long journey to get there. Ok breakfast.

This hotel was very average. The positives - rooms are clean; basic amenities are provided like toiletries, clean towels and clean sheets; the cleaning staff is very nice.
The negatives - it advertises a locker (a safe) but you have to pay extra for it; the laundry rates a very high; one of the receptionists was not helpful but that's fine it's not her job to help us, what bothered me was that she was not even polite; the hallways are dimly lit and feel like something out of a horror movie, the bathroom fittings were very old.
It feels like they were going for a quaint vibe. But they went a bit too far and everything was actually very old. Overall not a very good experience. Would not recommend a stay here.
