Description: Bodeguita Romero is more than 70 years old. First opened by Don Antonio Romero Hijón in 1939 in the old Encarnación Market, it is now run by his son Pedro Romero in Calle Harinas. Don Antonio’s little bar grew and prospered, and after the war he opened another in Calle Imagen that he called “La Española”.In 1949 Bodeguita Romero was established in Calle General Polavieja, where it achieved great popularity over nearly three decades, becoming a “must-stop” for young students and old folk who drank sherry and ate peanuts in its homely and traditional atmosphere. In 1977, it moved to its present home in Calle Harinas in the Arenal neighbourhood, where it has maintained its popularity thanks to the hard work and dedication of Pedro Romero and his wife Angeles.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, we thought that we would have a beer here and then move on to a restaurant, however that quickly changed when food arrived near our perch outside, 6 beautifully cooked and presented tapas later and a bottle of wine, all for less than €35.00 and we were the only non Spanish there, what more can be said

This restaurant has nothing to do with Shakespeare, but the food here can only be described as a sonnet of flavours. The pork and black pudding rolls (pringá montadito) can only be described as outstanding. The tapas dishes here are very authentic for the region, including colo de toro (ox tail) and spinach and chickpeas with cumin. All are served in healthy portions and very reasonably priced. Be warned about Seville in general, not learning at least the pleasantries in Spanish will leave you hanging out in the cold wondering why the dish you ordered isn't the one in front of you.

If you cross the main street next to the cathedral and go into Garcia de Vinuesa, take 1st right then 1st left you will find this tapasbar in Calle Harinas.
It opens at 8 in the evening, if you are late you wont get a table. Food is fantastic and so are the wines. Try the red Finca Vinoa or the white Jose Pariente.
Eat the Solomillo or the Cola Toro and you will be very happy.

My friend and I arrived here at 8:30pm and the place was already quite busy. We found a small table in the corner and ordered a small pork/cerdo sandwich/montadito pringa, a tapa of spinach and chickpea stew/espinacas y garbanzos and a beer/cerveza to share. We were doing our own small tasting tour of Seville, so we didn't want to fill up in one place.

The food arrived quickly without a problem. The small sandwich/montadito was delicious and the chickpea stew was possibly one of our favorite dishes in Seville.

The atmosphere is not particularly relaxing, but the food is hearty and good. We spent not more than half an hour here and only 6.2 euros.
