We chose this hotel for a stop-over between Santander and the French pyranees, and as car parking was imperative and the reviews were good we thought what the heck. The hotel itself is mainly a business venue. There is a restaurant (closed on Sunday) and a small bar in the main lobby.
The most impressive thing for us was the welcome. The receptionist (a lovely young lady who's name I forget; sorry) was a fount of knowledge about where to go and what to see on our short stay. We walked down to town but the buses to Munto (the area) were frequent and easy to find. We used taxis to come back as it is very steep. The recommendations were spot on. Pintxos (better than tapas) is a must in this area. The best are to be found in the old town. If you are looking for western european restaurants you have to go to the high end hotel restaurants.
The room was functional, clean and spacious. The bathroom was enormous by normal modern hotel standards. We had breakfast in the lobby bar and it was a typical continental of good value. Other options are available in the restaurant.More
