Lovely hotel, located just 20 min walk from Palma (€5 taxi) - lots of restaurants nearby also. We had one of the newly refurbished rooms with red level - amazing view of the marina, room was very nice and modern, the bed was huge and super comfy.
Cleaners came very often - at least twice a day which was great. We were also red level which meant we got free aromatherapy in the room (highly recommend - room smelt gorgeous (!) Whilst the red level has some benefits, I.e. free snacks throughout the day (albeit they are the tiniest sandwiches ever) some fruit, biscuits, soft drinks and some beer/wine - they can only be consumed in the red level lounge. It would have been nice if these could have been enjoyed by the pool, even just the drinks as it seems quite silly you can get a free beer inside but you would have to pay at the pool?
From 6:30pm-8pm there is also an open bar for red level members on the Victoria Terrace which is lovely. When we arrived cocktails were included within this which were fantastic - one of the best espresso martinis ever!! We were very disappointed after a few days in they mentioned cocktails would no longer be included for red level members which was such a shame and our favourite perk of being a red level member. Only spirits or beers were included which we don’t think justified the price of the red level. The drink prices in general were ££££, €14 for a cocktail or gin and tonic, you can go next door and get a decent cocktail for €5 - although can’t fault the hotel for using high quality spirits - Bombay Sapphire, Absolut etc. You can also get a free tapas board during this time - picture attached.
Breakfast had a range of options, from cooked items to cereal and pastries (make sure you try the pan au chocolat) however the plates were often dirty which we didn’t expect in a 5* hotel. Sausages and Bacon weren’t great and when we first arrived there were hash browns however these changed to chips which were soggy and not really ideal for breakfast time!
Inmaculada was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations on where to eat - if you ever have an issue go and speak to her! Also shoutout to the lifeguard who was always very pleasant and attended to you at all times.
I recommend going out to drink in Santa Catalina as well if possible. About a 10-15 minute walk and very well priced. Also if you are getting cabs, you knock off a couple quid by calling them yourself. The exit by the pool is the most convenient for walking or doing this!
