Excellent hotel a good walk from centre

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Jul 2024via mobile
The only reason I’m knocking this review down a tiny bit is the half hour walk to Palma centre - can be a bit sweaty on those scorching days. But a taxi is only €7ish so no big deal.
The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.
I like the policy of the pool not opening until 10am - prevents the ‘towels on the sun bed technique and then go to breakfast’. There’s no mad rush for sunbeds even then - maybe Palma has so much to offer.
See if you can find the local bar where the owner has played guitar with Paco de Lucia….Oh La La!

Great hotel in a quiet, tree lined, residential area. We loved the pool area which had plenty of space and seating. The room and bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area which was great for relaxing.

After I was mislead to buy an expensive ticket from a website I end up paying more even after my early booking. After that, since I end up without my ex-girlfriend, there I ask at least the half board on her behalf back. They said they can’t because I received “an offer”. Like I previously mentioned: I bought with 200$ more 6 months before. And even the meal money are standard… they found impossible to calculate the money I wanted to receive back. Lies told by an employee not even a manager. So… I payed for my misfortune.

Another bad thing is that the room is poorly equipped for a 4* hotel. Very bad equipped. I had a hairdryer. The end.

The upper notes was made by the rest of the staff and the good food. I like that even I read other opinion. For me… a lot of the products was superior compared with other places.
Another “+”.
They had the BEST WiFi I found in a hotel.

Great hotel in excellent location with superb customer service. Spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout. Great range of food and drink options throughout the day by the pool too. Didn’t have breakfast or dinner there so can’t comment on restaurant.

The only negatives on my trip were having a room located next to the cleaning cupboard. Corridors really echo and the cleaners are chatting to each other and clattering equipment from 7am which, when you’re trying to have a lie in is not great and very annoying. For example the room opposite was being hoovered with the door open at 7am so you could hear everything. The only other negative is the desperate lack of storage space in both budget and premier rooms (having stayed in both) even for a stay of just 4 days you’re struggling for space, especially if there is more than one of you. But would deffo stay again. The hospitality of staff was stand out.

Booked a 4 day break with a friend via Agoda. Firstly, Agoda did not book the room spec that I paid for, so please be aware and do NOT book via them as they cannot be trusted! Booked a Superior Room with Terrace, arrived at midnight and was allocated a double room with small balcony. On querying this with Reception I was advised that Agoda has not booked the room I had paid for, the hotel was fully booked so no option to upgrade/move - I e-mailed Agoda twice, never had a response. We were tir3ed and I wasn't particularly happy with the gentleman on Reception as felt his Customer Service skills fell short. The walls are pretty thin, and the cleaners were banging around at 8am the next morning which wasn't great after a late arrival.

HOWEVER, that's where the negative comments stop. The hotel is very modern, all areas are spotlessly clean. The room was large and well appointed, great bathroom, lovely pool bar, great sunbed area above the main pool, always plenty of sunbeds at this time of year.

The staff for the rest of our stay were excellent from behind reception, spa, pool bar. The hotel really is a little urban oasis. Superbly located, short walk to the many and varied restaurants and bars in the Santa Catalina area. There are so many great places to eat and drink here. The staff in every single establishment we visited were so friendly and accommodating. The indoor market looked a great place to stop and have tapas/wine but it was so busy when we walked through, I will need to do this on the next trip. You can visit the Cathedral, walk to the harbour, walk to the beach, look around the shops etc etc. It's a great place for a variety of activities.

I love walking and there are so many areas to walk around and look at such stunning range of buildings and architecture. I'm looking to return to Palma very shortly on a solo trip and this is exactly the sort of hotel I would want to stay in again. I'll just book my room via the hotel direct or a more reputable company than Agoda :)

There is currently a lot of work being undertaken on the road facing the harbour so we didn't tend to go here in the evenings, but anticipate this will be finished soon.

Book here - it will not disappoint!

Definitely not a four star hotel. Pokey little room with minimum storage space. No kettle or teamaking facilities. The room was very tired and shabby. The breakfast was very average and had to keep asking for things. Quite out of the way up a hill. Won't be going back when there are much better hotels for a similar price in Palma.
