Good hotel - good location

Review of Hotel Mirador
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Jul 2024via mobile
Visited in March with a group of friends . All guys - Stag. We got a taxi to the hotel which was quick and easy to do.

The hotel itself isn’t anything over luxurious. It is clean, it has a sauna, steam room, gym and pool facilities. Its location was perfect for the role we wanted it for. If you go onto the roof it has a nice view of the harbour and Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca.

There are bars and restaurants close by. As a group looking for drinks and better night life it was perfect. Had to go out late due to the time of year (not packed with tourists) and mix with locals. It was great. The pubs & clubs close by are pretty decent (25-40 year olds age range). What is obvious there are loads of “massage” parlours. These are pretty sketchy and close by. I suppose people have different preferences.

During the day its 15 minute walk and your in old town Palma a further 10 mins and your in the modern districts.

Overall decent hotel.

This hotel is in a good location with great views over the marina and a 15-20 walk into the centre of Palma. The staff were all very pleasant, good variety of food at breakfast and rooms were a decent size with comfy beds! The pool area is nice but as other reviews have mentioned, there are very few sun loungers available. Again, similar to other reviews, we had 2 nights out of 3 where we were kept up most of the night from noisy neighbours or noise in the street. This is the only complaint we had - otherwise we really enjoyed our trip and would return to this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a girls trip early July. Location is fab - 20 minutes and you’re in the old town of Palma. Hotel is clean, quiet and the view over the marina is fabulous. The rooms in the part of the hotel that has been refurbished recently are much better. Staff are on the whole very friendly except Jose on reception who acted as if the most minor request (eg a taxi to town) is a massive inconvenience. The breakfast was exceptional - mini pastries - different varieties every day - were a real treat. The pool is beautiful - just very small with only around 12 sun loungers. It’s completely in the shade in the late afternoon too. Overall I would return!

Room tip: Ask for one of the newer rooms. The roadworks didn’t bother us in the slightest - noise is minimal.

Having read previous reviews would like to give our thoughts after our 3 night stay, staff very helpful, room was clean, beds comfy, lots fresh towels and storage in the bedroom, plus a fridge , ironing board at reception, no kettle in room!
Breakfast was good, lots of choice, great location to sit overlooking the marina and to the cathedral !
Swimming pool was very small more a plunge pool and little chance of a sunbed unless up at crack of dawn as towels allover the few that were there! If you want a larger pool area this is not for you,
The hotel was full of stag and hen parties and also roadworks going on outside and quite noisy early in the morning but Tbf this isn’t the hotels fault! But there is so much noise at night especially in the side sea view rooms, a big flight of steps that goes to god knows at the side of the hotel where so many people were shouting and making noise waking both our rooms up late at night , every night, making it hard to sleep, and also feeling abit uncomfortable as screaming heard one night!
Not sure would return but 15 mins walk to city centre and bars restaurants nearby! Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was very professional and helpful!

If you are looking for a quiet hotel this is not it! Lots of stag and hen parties up all night and very noisy road to the front and side. The road works really spoil the view and are noisy. The pool is tiny and was full of stag party lads. Non of the room key cards worked for more than a few hours meaning numerous trips to reception with unhelpful staff. Not enough staff generally and the downstairs bars was not manned full time. The location is in a seedy area and there wasn't much choice in bars and restaurants. On a plus point, the cleaning staff were very helpful and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast staff were also very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was spotless, the room was more than big enough for myself and my great nephew. We chose a sea view and it more than lived up to my expectations. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. The hotel was central to walk into town and see the sights . All the staff were kind and helpful

Room tip: Get a sea view room, they are worth it
