Owner description: A small, pretty beach: the perfect destination for sunny, lazy afternoons.

What a place to stay, lots of choice for places to eat, and all serving great food. Fantastic little working harbour that will possibly soon have a ferry service from San Sebastian.
Don't miss lunch at a very bohemian little bar on the beach

I'm glad we lived a bit outside Los Gigantes, and this was the perfect place for a family holiday with no extra fuzz. The restaurants and shops were small and cosy and everyone was very friendly. This is the place I'll return to evertime visiting Tenerife.

Highlights were: a day trip with Yani whale watching - we saw dolphins AND whales; a day out with Juan from Gomera En Moto (along the sea front) who organised a personalised tour of the island for us; a massage with Ananda (near the Art Gallery), a walk over the headlands to a nearby beach (very hot! And it turned out to be a nudist beach!), afternoon tea up in the hotel Tecina; and great food at the patisserie behind the main shops, the Playa cafe on the front near the Spar shop and Charlana (?) cafe on the sea front before the art gallery. It's a great place - not as touristy as the bigger Villa Gran Rey but with enough of interest for a week's stay, especially in the sunshine in late Feb/March when the UK was really cold!

We visited Playa Santiago while staying at San Sebastián in La Gomera. The journey by car took about 40 minutes. Roads are good with space for 2 cars to pass but the route is up and down the mountain side and twists and turns with several hairpin bends.

Playa Santiago is a lovely fishing village/town with several restaurants along the promenade looking out to sea. There are good views if you walk out along the harbour.

There is a large resort hotel and a Holiday Property Bond development also nearby so plenty of tourists to support the local economy. A nice place to visit.
