Very basic hotel and a bit overpriced. It didnt reach my expectations as a 4 star hotel. If you decide to book this hotel good to know is that you wont get any view through the window. Breakfast is good but very basic and i found the staff a bit rude when i asked something. It was very strange that jacuzzi located on the roof terrace was working only til 6.30pm and swimming pool was a bit cold. Location is great as it is 2 min walk from beach and you will have a lovely roof terrace to use.

Our 3 night stay at Hotel Cantur was near perfect in February 2017 when we visited Las Palmas to join the carnival in fancy dress. The central location was great for exploring the promenade and Santa Catalina the immaculate and vibrant square with traditional bars, restaurants and local musicians.

Reception staff were so smiley and helpful, offering cava or fresh orange on arrival. Thank you also to the handyman who so kindly repaired the broken handle on my hand luggage....you saved me!

We opted out of breakfast in the hotel as we prefer to experience local bars, Oliva was our favourite breakfast spot on the sea front, in the warm sunshine, however having stayed the previous year we can recommend breakfast in the hotel as having lots of choice and being well organised.

The roof terrace was a joy in the afternoons! Sheltered from the wind it is a great sun trap don't forget your swim suits! We also enjoyed a very tasty meal on the roof terrace on our departure day basking in the February sunshine....well recommended for value for money, tasty and efficient service. The roof terrace service was excellent, I can recommend the mojito at €5.

Our only niggle was our heating didn't work in the room leaving us quite uncomfortable at night but the extra blankets in the room were readily available.

Great location, excellent value and good facilities.

Room Tip: All beautiful rooms, none have views however the fab roof terrace is a real bonus!

We stayed at Cantur for a week and had a great time. Clean comfy rooms, nice staff, THE amazing breakfast. You wouldn't be sorry if you choose Cantur for your destination. It is near to the Las Canteras Beach where you can walk by the ocean, and if you are brave enough, you can even swim there (water is quite cold). All in all, great deal for that value.

This hotel is quite good and is really close to Las Canteras beach but there is nothing to look at from your hotel room or the restaurant. It's on a boring side street. But there are views from the roof top pool area which is quite pleasant.

Don't eat dinner in the restaurant! It's overpriced, cold and unimaginative. We were tired after our flight and made that mistake. There are plenty of nicer restaurants nearby.

The breakfast offers a good selection but would be nicer if the food was a bit hotter. Some of the breakfast staff are a bit officious but not all.

The rooms are comfortable. We didn't need air conditioning when we were there. But the showers are not good enough. I guess water might be a problem in the dry Canarian climate so maybe that is why the water pressure was so low? But the good points: the beds were comfortable and the wardrobes with plenty of coat hangers were better than many I have seen in other hotels. The room safe was free and worked well.

We appreciated the kettle and the provision of tea and coffee and bottled water which was replenished daily.

The hotel was fine but not quite good enough for me to give it a 4.

Reception was slow but friendly. Good staff, just not enough of them.
Beakdast was pretty much processed meat, cheese and tinned fruit.
Evening meal was a pretty poor looking buffet. Had a look and went to some of the many restaurants nearby
