Going out to a restaurant with a group of friends with varied tastes can be quite challenging. Trying to get a good menu at a reasonable price, a tightrope balance. I am pleased to say that this place fits the bill. Vairied startesrs two of us had the the sizzling garlic prawns, good sized prawns an d a good sized portion. Others had avocado prawns and again sufficient to be classed as a small meal, so full marks there.

For mains the choice of the group varied, fillet steak, strips of beer cooked in lashings of garlic, salmon in lobster sauce. The steaks cooked to perfection, minor demerit the fish was over seasoned which detracted from the fragrance of the salmon.

Other minor demerits they didn't have any gluten free bread and as this can be kept in the freezer no good excuse these days and at 22.35 when we decided to have a night cap we were told they had stopped serving.

The venue was spotless, the staff and service excellent.

Good food, fillet steak to die for. However, we were served bread rolls and garlic mayonnaise which we had not asked for. We assumed this was free. However we then discovered that it was added to the bill. Don't like this practise and will not return.

We went there a monday night and the place was half full, which was really good so that we could still have an conversation in normal voice. The prices were good, especially when seeing how much Good you got. Can really recommended the three padrino filets, number 62 I think it was!

Visited this restaurant with a group of 12 friends for the first time, the food was brilliant, I tried 3 different dishes, the John Dory fish dish, the Three steaks, and the peppered porksteak.
All 3 tasted fabulous, the staff were great and we all had a great evening, the restaurant is all too easy to walk past from the frontage which looks like it has very little to offer, the main dining room is at the back, you can eat inside or outside in the open patio/garden area, the only criticism I have heard from a few people is that the decor inside is a bit on the plain side, that didn't worry me and I would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys their food with ample portions of everything.
You will see from other reviews that this is the sister to the old El Padrino down in the old town which I still have to visit yet!
