Go for the 60 Euros pp tasting menu! There's no menu to choose from. Just say what are your dietary requirements and the Chef will prepare whatever he feels like.
Every course that we had was presented as a piece of art and tasted like heaven.
The ultimate winner was the dessert. Had foamed cheese topped with Vanilla ice cream and decorated with colorful fruit puree.

Location: close to the town center in Santander

Atmosphere: don’t be fooled by the buildings in the neighbourhood and the outside. Inside it looks great and they have some pretty unique features such as a castor that transports the freshly baked bread to you. We were greeted by the champagne and cocktail trolley and they prepared some welcome cocktails for everyone.

Service: perfection comes to mind. All staff works very efficient and even by my high standards comparing it to the Sketch & Alain Ducasse this is an amazing service. The drinks trolley comes to the table and they mix a nice welcome cocktail followed by the bread trolley which is huge. The sommelier is very special and he knows a lot about wines and the wine decanting and presentation reminds me more of Japanese tea ceremony. All delivered with a lot style.
Food: mind-blowingly creative but still close to Cantabrian food.

Summary: next trip to Santander is booked for next month. Do I have to say anything else?

Had a fantastic meal here last night. We chose the tasting menu with matching wines. The cooking was superb and really imaginative. The service was also just right. (Thank you Pietro) They dealt with request for dairy free options amazingly well. We would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant

I went here two times in summer with my girl who's a vegetarian. First time before going there we called and ask if they could make a vegetarian menu and it was no problem for them, although we called on the same day. The next time we called a day in advance and asked about the vegetarian menu, but were a little bit upset, because they brought almost the same dishes. When we told them about it, they were really sorry and came back after some time with new creations! We were really fascinated how seriously they took the misunderstanding and how fast they solved the problem.

This unassuming place just outside the centre of Santander serves serious food. It was our last day of an epic two weeks exploring the regions between the Basque Country and the Mediterranean (Valencia to be exact) and it was pouring with rain - not the best day to explore so we opted for the full tasting menu. I was so glad we did. Each dish surprised and delighted, from the water bathed trout with sheeps cheese and beetroot to the pumpkin with beer ice cream, thyme cake and chocolate. It is a great find - especially if you are travelling back to the UK by Brittany Ferries and would like to while away the afternoon before boarding, eating some wonderful food and tasting some exceptional (and unusual) wines. Thank you El Serbal!
