This is a charming small hotel in a very historic house, reminiscent of a riad property and with an interesting back story. The staff were charming and most helpful. Our first night was in a smaller room which had no separate seating but we were then upgraded to a suite which was extremely comfortable. The property was beautifully decorated and located in a tranquil tiny square near El Greco’s tomb. It was chilly in Toledo but the hotel was warm and comfortable, not always true of Spanish hotels in winter. Drinks and snacks were available all the time and breakfast served when you wished.

The service was so fantastic, and the staff so kind it was really very special. The hotel is lovely, great rooms and romantic roof terrace. My only complaint is that I booked on booking.com and there it says that the hotel has a spa and shows pictures of a spa / which is not actually in the hotel.

We have enjoyed a wonderful stay here in December 2017.

First of all, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that we get there easily, that we are comfortable, that we are well fed and generally that we have a great experience. We are very grateful.

The building itself is very, very beautiful and the rooms, while they look historical, are also very cozy, spacious and well equipped. They manage to have great style and a historical touch without sacrificing anything in terms of modern comfort. The location is great, close to everything but also very quiet. This is an excellent place from which to explore the truly beautiful Toledo. As a practical point, the hotel is easily reachable from an underground parking (Paseo de Recaredo 24) at the base of the city, via a long chain of escalators which save you from the trouble of driving all the way up through narrow streets. Still, there is a good 50 meters uphill from the end of the escalators so, if you pack really heavy luggage, you may well consider driving there and leaving your bags first before parking for good.

Breakfast was also tasty and served in a wonderful interior courtyard - easily one of the most beautiful places to eat in the whole town.

We really enjoyed our time here and we'll be back someday.

You will not be disappointed in this stay, it's real Spanish, in the middle of everything, yet quiet and comfortable. Spacious Rooms, great linens, pillows, windows that open for air, lovely breakfast.....really the place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, but almost any room is lovely...

I booked this hotel on Booking.com. It is located within the old city of Toledo. We were pleasantly surprised by its great location on our arrival.

Gabrielle welcomed us and was very hospitable. She manages a beautiful small hotel. It was the home of a famous flamenco guitarist named Paco de Lucía. The hotel is named after one of his songs. It is now a six suite hotel.

The rooftop is a terrace with a beautiful view of the town and surrounding valley. It was very nice to watch the sunset with a glass of wine on the rooftop. the local restaurants are a short walk.

We wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was included and it was fresh and delicious. Definitely a perfect place to stay when visiting the historic town of Toledo.
