An attractive hotel, with a nice garden. It is located near a series of escalators that go up into the old part of town, and the fact that the hotel is a bit removed from the center of town was a plus. The help at the front desk spoke very good English, but we were somewhat surprised at the relatively low level of English language ability otherwise, given the four-star nature of the hotel. As we later learned, however, English is not as widely spoken in Spain as in other countries. Our room was pleasant, and gave out on an interior courtyard.
We enjoyed eating in the outdoor garden of the restaurant, since this was summertime and the weather was very hot. We ate very late, as do most people in Spain in the summertime. We had a bit of a mixup over our orders, perhaps because of English language, but nothing serious. We were much more aware of other Spanish diners, than of other tourist nationalities. We did not notice many Americans.
Breakfast was fine. The pool is very inadequate pool for swimming, it is really simply a plunge, and in the afternoon of course there were children.
Overall, and attractive, older style hotel and we enjoyed it.More
