Good location albeit outside the city walls.

Walking distance from the historic center.

Staff as in most NH hotels excellent.

Room was beautiful, we did pay for a superior room which more than met our expectations.

Downside, no bar, nor water other than a vending machine outside the hotel.

No parking but there are plenty of public parking nearby and free during night time until ten a.m.

We will certainly stay there again.

NH Toledo or as it is called Hotel HESPERIA is place you will come back if your travels brings you back to Toledo. Good location on Plaza de Toros de Toledo and walking distance to the old town. Indoor parking is close by and for reasonable price. We stayed for three nights.

Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful, rate 3.5 . One thing I would like You to note most of the NH hotels that we stayed at which was several while on our 17 day travel through Spain and Portugal are not well marked that they are NH hotels, some actually we had to go inside to check.
It made finding them a lot more stressful than necessary, especially in the ones that have no outside parking, which were several.. Other wise we were overall very satisified with the NH hotels group.

I have used NH hotels a few times on my recent Spanish trip, and found them excellent. The Superior rooms are a little more expensive, but give more space, and, importantly, have been quieter. The room in this hotel is bigger, but above a bar/restaurant. It is not excessively loud, but sleep is difficult before 11.30pm. If you want a siesta, that's difficult, too. I enquired about another similar room, but there is only one other in the hotel, and it is on a lower level. I really don't understand why a more expensive room is over a bar. It makes no sense; the room should be a cheaper option, regardless of its size.
Staff were very helpful, but there was little they could do, as the place was full.
The hotel itself really does need updating. The pictures on the website are pretty accurate, showing the old fashioned rooms. They are nice in their own way, but somewhat drab.
Parking is available for €10, but there is parking for €5 if you look, and on street free parking not too far away.
Not a great three day stay really.
I must applaud the young man on reception. He is made for the job and deserves recognition. He was cheerful, diligent, helpful and always smiling; excellent at his job. The woman who cleaned the room was excellent, too

Room Tip: Away from the road and not above the bar

We found the hotel / staff to be very welcoming, & our junior suite was very comfortable. The hallway to the room, & room, were very nicely decorated & colourful seating areas, of what appear to be good quality furniture. Only small issue with the room was that it would have benefited from a window in the bedroom area, likely not feasible with the hotel build. Saying that the view from the window we had was of nearby buildings, normal for most city centre hotels.
Our room was kept exceptionally clean during our stay.
The down side of the visit was breakfast. The hot food was not renewed unless asked. For the price charged for breakfast...no. I would recommend that the food & beverages manager visits NH Cartagena centro, to see what a breakfast is like, at I believe the same price charged here.
Hotel parking is of a reasonable price, 10 euros per day. No "car lift" like some we have been, easy entrance to car park, & none of those ramps that you can hardly manoeuvre a large car.
