Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

This is a wonderful park to stroll and take in the views plus be in Guadi’s world. Start from the top entrance to ease the walk. Make sure you have good walking shoes.

We just walked and visited the public open park. We did not go inside the area that requires a ticket. It was booked full for the day. So also here consider advanced booking.

The last time i was in Barcelona and visited Park Guell we had unresticted access to the steps and where the Lizard mosaic was on the sreps however that is now a resticted area and you can only access that part of the park by buying a ticket. The day we went this time would would have had to wait several hours to get access so if you are planning on visiting Park Guell and want to see the Lizard etc well worth booking in advance.

We briefly glanced by this public park which is totally a tribute to the famous architect Gaudi by his great patron Count Eusebu Guell. This monument is also a UNESCO world heritage site since 1984. Right from the two striking buildings at the entrance you feel like you have been transported back in time with the great Gaudi showing you his skill and masterpieces. Intended to be developed as a housing complex in the La Salut neighborhood of Gracia district the unsuccessful plan was modified into this lovely park. The only show house built was Gaudi's home and today is a museum devoted to the architect with colorful tiles, mosaics, colonaded pathways, fountain with dragon, serpentine bench, bird nests built by Gaudi in the terrace walls and art at each nook and corner. Truly a lovely place to spend an hour or more depending on your love and respect for Gaudi and architecture. Beautiful place indeed !
