Beautiful hotel, terrific staff—attentive, motivated, engaged. Large rooms were beautifully appointed. Lots of great design details. Amazing rain shower and large, separate soaker tub. Spacious bathroom. Instantly hot water. Very plush bathrobes and towels. Was offered a glass of cava while checking in--nice touch. Lots of great little touches like that, like the free delicious hot chocolate and the little candies in the lobby. Location was terrific for enjoying strolling along the seaside beaches. Taxis were abundant, even on new year’s eve. Concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. Wanted to try a local fisherman’s stew and the concierge recommended a restaurant in Barceloneta, that was within easy walking distance from hotel. It was exactly what we had wanted. A seafood restaurant packed with locals. Very fresh seafood displayed on ice when you entered the restaurant. Enjoyed a very good seafood meal. Only downside was that our room was on a lower floor, so the view was not so impressive. Disappointed because I particularly chose this hotel because I wanted to have a memorable view of the city or the sea on our first day/night in the New Year. Oh well, the hotel was very busy.

A great hotel but how come can they charge you 25€ for a WiFi Room connection ! Amazing for a 5 stars hotel...

Barcelona is beautI vas amazed how beautiful can a marvelous Barcelona look like from the top floors of this hotel. You should defenitely book a room on higher floor (!). After having breakfast on hotels terrace on sunny day I felt like haven!

Hotel has a elegant bar, where we enjoyed cognac in the nites, amazing terrace, location near harbour makes adventure or a calm stay even more lovely, nice clubs are near 8a walk distance), fitness center, good resaturants...

I would defenitely reccomend this hotel when staying in Barcelona.


P.S.: We even shared a flčoor with David Guetta when staying there...how cool is that :)

I recently stayed at the Hotel Arts Barcelona with my wife and two year old daughter. We cannot say enough about the hotel. The room was immaculate, well-designed and sleekly elegant. They allowed us an early check-in with a brand new seeming crib for our daughter already installed. Most remarkable about the hotel is the outstanding service. Carlos Nunez and his concierge staff could not have been more helpful. And the entire team went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including always crouching down low to ask our daughter - in English and Spanish - how she was doing.

We could not recommend the hotel more highly and we look forward to visiting again!

Don't take me wrong, it's a very nice modern hotel and the service is good, the rooms beautiful, a little noise for my taste, because is very well located; but if you are a Ritz member and are expecting a Ritz treatment, you are going to be disappointed; I believe they are still training or something like that, because very few staff knew how to Ritz treat you. Overall, very good hotel, good service, good food (Barcelona in general), and huge rooms. I dont have complaints just warning Ritz-Carlton members to expect the same level of service, at least not now, maybe like I said they are still in training and hopefully 2012 is the year.
