We did the BAW2 (gaudi) with Ricard, we really enjoy it!
Ricard was very pleasant and easy to understand.

The tour include a bit of history & background of how the city was developed, areas & neighborhoods
We walked through courtyards of buildings & spots that we would have been missed on our own.
Also of course covering gaudi's work through the city, which was nice to hear from an architect point of view,
Covering gaudi's evolvement with time through his work gives nice background to sagrada familia,
so I recommend doing the tour before visiting, so then you can notice many issues discussed about in the tour in the sagrada familia.

Barcelona is rich with architecture that influence the city to this point and no better way to see all of this through
the eyes of a architect.

Overall we can highly recommend the walk, and most like will try another one on our next visit to Barcelona.

Miguel was extremely easy to communicate with via email regarding the tour and payment. He met us at our meeting spot and proceeded to teach us about the period of modernism in Barcelona's architectural history. We got a very good background of how the city was developed and how it spread out over the years. He showed us courtyards, backs of buildings and special city blocks that taught us with our eyes what he was explaining to us. The last part of the tour focused on gaudi - casa mila and casa batllo. It was perfect because we scheduled our tickets for the sagrada familia a couple hours after our tour with miguel, so everything was fresh in our minds.
Miguel is a local architect who clearly is passionate about barcelona and it's architecture. He was personable and seemed and all around great guy. You really should book a tour with him!! We travelled with our two sons (11 & 13) and they were equally entertained. thanks, miguel!!

My group of postgraduate students booked two tours - Barca and the Sea with Ricard and Gaudi with Miguel Angel. Both tours and both guides were absolutely excellent, knowledgeable, with both a rare enthusiasm and a genuine insight into architecture, design and their place in Barcelona's living history. I can not recommend highly enough.

This architecture tour was amazing. Given by a professional architect, Ricard's passion for the city and its architectural landscape was infectious. We had the opportunity to learn about Barcelona's history and the architectural trends that developed throughout it. The highlight was definitely learning more about Guadi, and his growth as an architectural genius. A must do tour during your stay in Barcelona!

A great way to learn about Barcelona and Miralles through the city history.. Miguel Angel makes himself easy to be listened. I will repeat in another one for sure!
