A colleague booked this hotel for one night for us to attend a service the following day. From my observations during this short time I found the area to be completely desolate. The front desk staff seemed a bit confused at check-in but were pleasant enough. Upon entering my room it felt very warm. I opened the window for some air and realized it overlooked a loud highway. I turned the air to the lowest temperature before leaving for the evening and looked forward to a more comfortable room when I returned. Unfortunately, when I returned to my room a few hours later the room was still hot and uncomfortable. When I called the front desk and asked about the temperature in the room they told me they were in the midst of switching over from Heat to Air Conditioning and the process takes a few days. Currently the air blowing was neutral air only. This was not going to work and neither would sleeping with the window open since the highway was noisy. I asked to switch to a room not facing the highway which they accommodated. When I entered the new room I opened the window immediately and realized it overlooked the same highway. I called the front desk and they offered me a third "better" room that was two floors higher than the original two rooms, however, still overlooked a highway. It was late at this point so I slept with the window wide open and not even a sheet during the night. The room was somewhat modern, a bit worn out as were the general areas of the hotel. The hallway walls looked sloppy and patched up from holes that may have been made by accident. I would not stay in this hotel again.

Stayed here several times. Very good rooms. 15min with tube to centrum. Parks nearby. Clean, friendly staff. Nice garden. Superb breakfast. Hospital nearby. Shops nearby. Very good value for money. Recommended!

I don't usually write reviews but this hotel is the worst hotel i have been in Europe. They will charge you for every single thing. They will even limit your Internet usage. Basically this is the worst service hotel i have ever been.

We was 1 month ago . On the first Morning of stay , my husband's bag was stolen in the hotel restaurant . We were very shocked, we wanted help from hotel staff but they said that they could not help us and they could not review the hotel cameras. The manager of hotel couldnot help us.
The hotel area is not safe and people come and go from outside to inside the hotel.

Location of this hotel isn't too great - its away from the city centre and near to residential areas and the university. This area seemed quite the opposite of the bustling downtown Barcelona - there are hardly any cafes or anything interesting nearby (or even if there are, they're certainly not noticeable).

Mundet Metro station (green line) is located next to the hotel and Catalunya station (where La Ramblas is located) is 9 stations away (20 minute ride). Its the fastest way to get to downtown. Taxi fares ranges from 20-25 euros.

Checking in was ok but I had to change to another room as the air conditioning and the safe was not working.

The room is reasonably sized (by European standards), with basic amenities and reasonably clean. Air conditioning here, although now "working", still seemed to be inconsistent - you need to take that into consideration especially during the hot summer months.

The interiors of the room feel a bit tired and worn out. Bottled water is not complimentary (2 euros for a small bottle from the room bar). No slipper, no coffee making facility, kettle etc. There was a power outage one early morning but luckily power was back again in quite a short while.

Breakfast is standard continental fare, nothing too extraordinary.

I'm surprised this hotel is rated 4 star as it felt more like "3 star" standards. Would have preferred to stay downtown (and there are quite a few decent choices too) - that's where you can soak up the culture and the excitement Barcelona provides right at your doorstep.
