Fantastic stay for a group of friends, there was 10 of us in total staying for a long hen weekend. This was a great place to explore, we often used taxis as we visited restaurants and bars ~10-15 mins drive away. Staff were extremely helpful, couldn't ask for better service, especially taking into account the price per night reflecting budget accommodation. Rooms were very clean and modern, great shower, great roof top pool, impressive buffet lunch (9 euros) and breakfast (included). I would definitely stay again as a base for exploring Barcelona more.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when we booked into here for two nights, seeing that it was the university halls of residence.

Wrong! This is quite superb. From the great staff, superb facilities thrown in with the price such as the rooftop pool, access to gym, hot tub, sauna and so on. Also access to launder kit and safe parking under or over-ground for a small additional fee.

Rooms are university standard, so basic, but are very clean, neat and manageable. Our view was of the sports facilities and watching the parakeets in the trees by the window.

What's got us is the fab view from the rooftop terrace over Barcelona, and easy access to the town by the buses outside the door.

I recommend getting the buffet meals. All you can eat dinner for €9.50! Come on, do it! Top top quality food for minimal prices. You cannot get this quality for any cheaper anywhere in the city. And you can get a bottle of wine for an extra €6.

Actually writing this after demolishing the dessert of fruit and home made vanilla ice cream. Do I go for more, or get something else? I'm not sure, damn you first world problems, damn you! Anyway, can't, as I've got our laundry to finish

We stayed for 6 nights in a twin room and it was great! We had no issues at all. We decided to stay further away from the city given the price for what you get and we found this was such good value for money. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, the room was modern and had lots of storage space, a nice bathroom with great shower pressure, and a mini fridge. So good to have a rooftop pool and access to all the leisure areas. The breakfast was good and it was also great to have vending machines available for drinks and snacks. It is a bit out of the city but once you get used to the transport routes it's absolutely fine. There is a bus stop right outside and the after midnight bus stops there so very easy to get to/from here day or night. It was also nice to stay out of the city and experience a different side to Barcelona. We explored the area of Sarrià which is an upmarket part of town with its own shops, restaurants and bars. We also walked from here to Park Güell which took about an hour but a nice easy walk despite the heat and went through posh areas. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Barcelona.

If your child has not enough patience to sit at the table during the dinner and went to play in billard room, be carrefull and don`t take any banana or apple for him/her to eat it outside the restaurant. The lady that is suprevising the dinner will spy you like you were a terrorist holding a banana-bomb in your pocket and will come to your table as soon as she is sure you are going to take banana outside and she will give you a loud lesson in Spanish (she doesn´t speak English at all) It is not a reason to treat you like a friend even if you`ve spent 10 days in Residencia with all your family paying for everything (!) - your children must eat fruits at proper place! Otherwise banana has been stolen and you must take a lesson and feel ashamed. It made unpleasant feeling. I have never met such an approach before. Residencia is ok. A bit noisy. Really good food. Not very nice people at the restaurant and smell in the bathroom is strange (humidity). Ladies that are cleaning rooms are really nice and rooms are clean. Residencia situated in really beautiful place. Decent communication to the center. Spanish people are nice. The only unpleasant situation is was the "lesson" taken from the lady during the dinner about banana for my son. I will not like bananas anymore ;-)

Stayed here for 3 nights and had an excellent stay. The bus stops right outside the front door and two stops later you are at metro station with L6 taking you to heart of the city. One ticket does both journeys .Fabulous computer suite free to use , roof top pool has beautiful views of city, great choice at buffet breakfast and first night we had buffet dinner for 9.5 euros each with bottle of wine 6 euros. Large bottle of water can be purchased at vending machines for 1 Euro. The rooms were spacious and very clean and front desk staff in particular were very helpful. For anyone looking for a budget stay this is ideal and have recommended it to family and friends.
