Four couples completed a cruise in September and were looking for a location in Barcelona in the historic area that was on a quieter street than Las Ramblas. We found it! Right around the corner from Barcelona Cathedral and on a lovely square filled with restaurants and people.
The staff are very accommodating, and the rooms are quite large and comfortable. The hotel is quiet at night. We were there in September, it was HOT and the air conditioning stood up to the test. The complete breakfast was just what we were looking for to fuel up for a day sightseeing, traveling into the countryside to visit Cava vineyards, etc. And there's an option for the Continental (light) version of breakfast without having to wander the streets. Bar service is fun too.
Several evenings, we received a recommendation from the front desk for excellent restaurants within walking distance and had memorable meals. The modern vibe and clean decor in the hotel is engaging. When we purchased many bottles of Cava to share with the group, the kitchen delivered champagne flutes and ice in just a few minutes - what a great way to finish up our memories of Barcelona. We would gladly stay there again.More
