We had a lovely stay

This was a last minute trip so our choices were somewhat limited at the time. I read some poor reviews for this hotel but we decided to go anyway, and we were glad we did. Its a lovely hotel and we had a fabulous time there. Yes there are some things that need improving, but, overall it was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the food was delicious. The reception and bar area is lovely and modern, and had clearly had a recent revamp. The pool and pool area, for a small hotel, was exceptional, with a large pool, plenty of beds and sun shades. The bedroom décor left a little to be desired, with some of the fittings being poorly fitted, but, overall the room was clean, comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers. My one big gripe was not having a kettle in the room, so, if you like your early morning cuppa, bring a travel kettle. We had a side ways view form the hotel overlooking a lovely water feature. We got very little sun on the balcony but it was nice and cool and offered a welcome relief from the heat. The location was perfect for us. The beech was across the road and it was a 20 minute or so walk into the town. The walk was lovely, along the sea front passing all the lovely market stalls on the way !! We were told that the hotel would be closing at the end of the season for refurbishment so I wish all the staff well and look forward, by the grace of god, to seeing you all again next year.

We are delighted that you enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort, and the quality of food at our hotel. It is great that our recently refurbished reception and bar area, along with the modern amenities and our pool facilities, met your expectations and contributed to a fabulous experience.

However, we apologize for the aspects of your stay that did not fully meet your expectations. While we take pride in maintaining high standards of comfort and style, we understand that the décor and certain fittings in the room did not live up to your preferences. We appreciate your feedback as it provides valuable insight for our continuous improvement efforts. Furthermore, we acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the lack of a kettle in the room, and we will certainly consider this for future enhancements to our accommodation offerings.

Nonetheless, we are pleased that the hotel's prime location close to the beach and the enjoyable walk into town added to the pleasure of your stay. The tranquil view of the water feature from your balcony and the refreshing coolness it provided are aspects we love to hear our guests appreciate. We was met by Andrea on reception who made us very welcome & explained everything very clearly!! The hotel room was spotless & very satisfactory. The maid service was excellent & thorough. All the staff were very helpful but Munir was particularly helpful & attentive so he gets a special mention!!

First time to Sitges and this hotel with my husband. In our mid-late 60’s this hotel was just amazing. Adults only and in a slightly residential area, it was relaxing and quiet. Food, bar, pool, reception very clean, all staff helpful and friendly. Our room was small but suitable for our stay. The decor was very modern and bright. Location excellent a minute walk to the beach, 10 minutes to all bars, restaurants etc. our only criticism would be, on the evening the hotel bar lights were very bright, if dimmed would create a better atmosphere. Definitely would visit again.

This is not four star we know what that looks like and it isn’t this. This hotel is a collection of buildings and
Our room was through the link tunnel underground which connects (which smells of damp) there are ENDLESS stairs so if your mobility is poor don’t come here. There are water marks on ceilings and spills on floors and carpets a four star hotel would have these replaced. The pool area fence is rusty black and organs marks running down walls and beds are cheap plastic things this is not four star luxury. Shabby and grubby round the edges. Our room was
Clean but an ants Crawling round bathroom all day tiles and things unfinished balcony was ok rusty fence no view as such strange layout of room very bojoix and that’s being kind. Breakfast average we were looking forward to having the breakfast chef make us an omelette but no breakfast chef agin this is not four star. The general approach to the hotel is a back street and you can see the work that needs doing the reception is probably the smartest part but still not a four star experience. This should rebrand itself or be downgraded to three star if not 2.5 or 2+ which would better reflect what we found that would mean we wouldn’t have booked it on the first place. I added could we have a nice room as it was our wedding anniversary (and we could easy prove it) but we couldn’t be further away other hotels over other years there was a bottle of cabs waiting in the room just those nice four star touches that were clearly not evident here. A disappointing stay and we will not stay here again it’s not good enough and nowhere near four star standard. We are still here and have one more day to tolerate this and can’t wait to check out.

Room tip: No parking, in a back street, a good 20 minute plus walk to town centre, no shops/supermarket near for water but food access to quiet beach

We regret that the hotel did not meet your expectations, although reading your review, we can take little from a constructive point of view to improve.

Regarding what you say about the qualifications of the hotels with regard to the stars to have, I have to inform you that fortunately for our customers, and for the professionals in the sector who work very hard to offer experiences to remember to our customers, there are annual checks and reviews by official bodies, agencies and tour operators of all nationalities, as well as multiple health checks, water and food safety, safety of the rooms and facilities, which are who define the standard of the establishment.

Regarding taxis at the door, taxis are not assigned to hotels for their quality or services, they are assigned and managed by private companies in coordination with the town hall and local authorities, based on location, infrastructure and municipal street map.

The area of corporate buildings where they stayed is connected with a tunnel, as they are spaces that also have meeting rooms, with the latest technical and audiovisual equipment, where we host all kinds of events and professional meetings of national and international character. These spaces are highly demanded by our clients and are clearly described in our website and brochures with the tour operation.

As we mentioned, our fantastic gardens and recreational areas, as in all natural areas, can harbour ants, as they are part of the ecosystems of these natural areas, hence on several occasions we remind them before their s demands, not to eat and leave leftover food.
Likewise, given your derogatory mention of some areas of our facilities, when talking about bad odor or humidity, we inform you again that, as you can see via Google itself, due to the magnitude of the torrential rains, last 08 In September of this year, SITGES WAS SERIOUSLY AFFECTED BY A DANA WITH TORRENTIAL RAINS OF 55 LITERS PER SQUARE METER IN A SPACE OF 45 MINUTES, which caused damage to almost all hotels, restaurants and private properties that require, by legal regulations, the pertinent channels of reporting, evaluation, appraisal and insurance authorization for its repair. Since spaces such as the pool, rooms, hall, reception, restaurant, bars and essential areas of the establishment have not been affected, FORTUNELY WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO not leave many clients who had booked our beloved Antemare without a vacation.

Finally, we truly regret that from the first minute upon your arrival, by NOT HAVING ACCESSED YOUR DEMAND for a free upgrade to a superior room, this fact has conditioned your stay with us.

As you can see in this portal in which you express your opinion, THE HOTEL IS OUTSTANDINGLY RATED, and we understand that not all our clients can like us, but believe me, at no time, DO WE DECEIVE WITH OUR PROFESSIONALISM, HARD WORK AND SERVICE, highly valued and in perfect compliance with the four-star standard.

Towels were very old, had stains on them, holes and needed replacing. No tissues in room, no kettle in room. Pool was lovely breakfast really. Great customer service. Nice quiet area. Good 10 minute walk back into town. Room was ok. Just needs a refurb

Our experience at the Ibersol Antemare was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after long days of sun and socialising.

Although I've swum in bigger pools, the one at the Ibersol Antemare was one of the best I've had the chance to enjoy. It was immaculately clean and, most importantly, cool – a relief when you want to escape the Mediterranean heat.

I'd throughly recommend the Hotel Ibersol Antemare to anyone looking for a stay in Sitges.
