Lovely location with beautiful beaches nearby. Sitges itself is 35 min walk so you can get bicycles with hotel. Unfortunately this are in a poor state and quite unsafe to use. The breakfast is highly recommended. A mixed approach on reception and certainly not what I would expect for a four star hotel. However be aware that the security is not good at the hotel. There are many points that people can easily enter the hotel and we witness people coming off beach to use the facilities. The worse was the thief that was found on the balcony of a first floor flat we witnessed him being apprehended and trying to escape by jumping off and hitting the floor below quite hard. This was very upsetting for my family and we felt unsafe for the rest of the holiday.

Liked · Many people complain about the apartments but the hotel is well protected and clean. Amazing spa with view. Big rooms with spacious terrace. Nice staff.

Disliked · 1. Far from the city - the small turisty train broke we needed to walk. 2. Air freshener in the room - it was not nice smell and very intense. 3. Mosquitos - DONT LEAVE YOIR WINDOWS OPEN WITH LIGHTS ON! 4. Price - value - it’s quiet expensive as for the how old the hotel is.

We’d been hoping for a relaxing family holiday with something for everyone, and weren’t disappointed. We had a junior suite, overlooking the sea, and found the accommodation very comfortable and spacious - the washing machine was a real bonus and free air con and WiFi most welcome. We found the staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel as a whole spotlessly clean; housekeeping was great. The outdoor pool was very pleasant, with sun beds and towels provided. We spent time most days at the hotel beach club, where towels and sun beds were also available without charge. We ate in two of the three hotel restaurants and service and food was not bad, but at busy times was a bit haphazard. The mini-market at the hotel was well-stocked with essentials. My only quibble was that none of the hotel gym equipment was working when I went - treadmills, cross trainers and bikes had no power, despite being plugged in and switched on. I’m told it was all working the day before. Sitges itself, a 2-3km walk along the seafront, is a lovely town with a wonderful vibe. There are loads of places to eat and drink and some great shops. Barcelona is only 40 mins or so on the train. Overall, our stay was most enjoyable and I’d recommend Playa Golf as a good base to explore Sitges and beyond.
