We came here on our first day in Madrid as it was close to our apartment and bustling with happy, local diners. It was great to see everyone, especially the multi-generational families sitting down for lunch, the grandmas and parents sipping beer and wine while well loved children hopped onto laps. Alas, the food did not live up to the atmosphere. We had the menú del día. I don't remember the first course, but the main course was some of the worst pork I've ever had, sliced thin and braised but very tough and chewy. Dessert was a perfectly fine tiramisu. The meal, which also included a glass of wine or beer, was very reasonable at 10.5 euros, but lower cost does not excuse poorly cooked food.

We were greeted by a man taking a plate digging it into a large barrel of pickles and olives which he escorted along with us to a table. While waiting for our food a woman prepared an unknown dish dipping cookies into a brown mixture, with her bare fingers, on a counter filled with various items ranging from paperwork to random nicknacks.

Our food arrived, my pizza was more of a soggy bread covered in a lot of cheese. My mothers gluten free pizza resembled a stale piece of cardboard, it had a hair in it.

Very odd atmosphere, as we could see people preparing things in the kitchen and someone to our left fiddling with paperwork which he threw into a trunk turned bench which guest were then escorted to and able to sit on.

Would not recommend this restaurant.

We are here for lunch while walking around. Staff is nice and good was delicious. I recommend the gnocchi! There house wine was only 6,15 for a bottle!

This restaurant was quiet (peaceful) and rustic looking. The staff were very friendly. The selection of food was amazing, especially in a country where it is very hard to find anything without meat in it. They had vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options on the menu. The food was good quality with interesting and sophisticated combinations and well priced but the portions were slightly smaller than expected, so one main did not quite fill me up. To top it off we were given a free shot of limoncello at the end. Overall, a lovely experience and I will be back to eat again.

We met friends at this restaurant for something a bit different than traditional Spanish tapas. The Argentinian fare here was perfect. Many gluten free options for one of the diners and amazing desserts!! We had a wonderful meal after an evening at the Prado. We went back a second time because of the gluten free options. Staff was great. Feels like a family restaurant.
