We had our airbnb around the corner so we tried La Gloria de Montera. Well, now we know it was a mistake. The is a boring, nothing to write home about - tourist restaurant. You are in Madrid... go find a better place.

We didn't have any expectation about the restaurant. Just decided to take dinner one of the closes restaurants. The restaurant has good facilities and atmosphere. Waitress even spoke english.

We had three course dinner with a bottle of wine. Marinated tuna tasted odd for me, but all other dishes were either good or great. Prices are really cheap if they are related to quality.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, great choice. We shared a mixed tapa appetizer, paella, and steak kabobs with veg. A nice bottle of wine, perfect, priced right. Bring on the EDP Madrid Rock n Roll Marathon.

Reading the menu I expected more Spanish typical food. However "bravas" were not such but potatoes with tomatoe and white sauce, octopus was served with smashed potatoes (it is usually served with thick sliced potatoes)... Main dishes were, however, good.
Noisy place when half-full. Average service quality.
Unless someone tells me it has chaned a lot and improved, I think I won't come back or recommend it.

Been here a while ago with friends. In Madrid for work. And the Picasso ex so went for lunch. Menu del Dia was fabulous value. I felt I needed a good meal. And got one. All was well presented. The service was superb. Very enjoyable indeed. And highly recommended. Would prefer more choice for veggies. Spain has superb vegetables.
