I wouldn't say that this is a bad review but a need to highlight the pros and cons of staying at these apartments. We used the evamar as a base during a two-day stag break and in truth it was very cheap so we had extremely low expectations. All previous reviews were off putting and we started our trip very negatively due to that but in the end it didnt ruin our break. I would strongly advise not to go with children as in two rooms out of four their was exposed wiring but it's fine for a few days with adult friends. Now a few tips, if you are using a transfer service ask the driver to drop you off at the Luxmar hotel where you have to collect your keys from (€50 deposit per person required and photocopy of passport), then you will need to walk past the football school (on the right) to the end of the road then turn left to find your apartment. Expect to be high up in the building but there are 3 lifts which all worked. Some of our rooms had good views but others looked out onto wasteland. The pool was open from 10am and was secured by the main key into the building but there are no sun loungers or bar. This is mainly a residential building so expect to meet a lot of locals who will push in front when using the lifts. Like I just said there is no bar, no reception, no security, no vending machines it is pretty much just a room, there was a hob and a microwave but the electrics didnt look to clever so I advise against using them but food in the area is cheap, if you turn left and go along the road and take a first left you will find a local shop selling food and drink and essential supplies and the guy is really friendly or if you cross the road instead of turning left you will find a cafe/bar that serve breakfast its not the cheapest but its decent and the closest to the apartments. Now the rooms themselves, OUTDATED, the decor is abysmal with paint faded and tiles damaged, mirrors were parcel taped up, there was damp in the bathrooms, one room had a window missing, no aircon at all, some of the doors looked like they had been kicked in at some point, so it does have its faults but also its cheapness means its possible to over look it if staying for a short time. To be fair its in a pretty good location and we found all the bars easily, we used the local taxis which were surprisingly cheap only €5 to aqualandia waterpark which was really good. Do try keep your wits about you especially at night, you will be offered everything from sex to drugs and women do try putting there hands in your pockets so keep cash secure, the rooms dont have a safe so look after your cash while your out. Checkout time is 11am and you will again have to go to the sister hotel Luxmar to get your deposit back and give them the keys, the hotel let us store our bags there as we weren't due to be picked up til 7pm without charge although they were just left next to a vending machine in the bar area they remained untouched. To summarize you get what you pay for and if your staying here then go with little expectation and you wont be disappointed, an ideal base for a small trip, adults only!

We ordered via on the beach due to location and price. We were never advised there was no bar / reception and the pool was closed at this time of year or that we had to walk to another apartment block to get our keys. Fortunately there was a travel rep walking past (nothing to do with our apartments) she couldn't work out the terrible map either but on the accompanying info the Luxemar is opposite the cinema which she was able to direct us to. It says on the info that it's 2mins walk and I've read on here it's 5 mins, I'd say it's more like 10. The transfers we booked through on the beach ought to know this really and drop us off at the Luxemar. They do take a deposit which is £40 or €50pp. The evamar is opposite the market which is open Weds & Sun which is good. There was a man in the bushes across flashing / masturbating in the middle of the afternoon when we arrived which was quite scary.
We were disappointed when we found out there was no bar and the pool was closed, we were able to use the one at Luxemar which was ok but half the beds were broken. During the holiday we got locked out of our apartment twice and had to walk up to Luxemar for reception, this is no good in the early hours of the morning. The staff at Luxemar were very friendly and there is wifi in reception. The Evamar is mostly residential which is quite off putting, we were expecting loads of stag / hen do's from the read ups but this wasn't our experience and we felt unable to play music etc and felt unwelcome by the residents.
1 of our three rooms appeared (due to the decor / name plaque) to be private and was much nicer that the two holiday apartments. It was very well equipped and clean. There were plenty of clean towels but the water went cold pretty quickly, apparently there is a 50ltre water tank for each room so when that's run out you have to wait for it to reheat.
We did find it difficult to find as it had no door no and the name plaque made it appear like it was privately occupied. It would have been good for reception to advise us of this.
There was a great English cafe bar around the corner, Corky's Penny Farthing with free wifi and all the nightlife is not too far away.
HOWEVER, overall and for the price the accommodation is fine and we really enjoyed our holiday.

Went to Benidorm as part of all male group of 30+ - more than half, put off by reviews/pics on here bailed out pre-trip and booked elsewhere, I was one of those that persevered.
In essence, yes, it is very basic, we never saw a maid for 3 days, there were a handful of really battered sunloungers by the pool - however, we were only in our rooms for sleeping, there was a 24 hr bar and it was quite adequate for our needs - having said that the alternatives my friends found nearby were miles better for only 10 euro per night extra, so shop around.
As soon as we got there we were approached by some North African chaps outside wishing to sell us 'things' and there was a room of Eastern European ladies on one floor who I don't think were on holiday as they had been there 'working' for a few months - that is what they told us anyway - you can draw your own conclusions from the above.
I must say the staff behing the counter were very friendly and helpful, we hired a safe deposit box and got the deposit for that, plus our room deposit back, with no problem at all.
Would i use the hotel again? probably not, but only due to there being so much other choice for reasonable rates that offer slightly better 'experiences' if you've already booked Evamar please don't panic, perfectly ok for stag/hen/birthdays - probably not families

Our rooms were filthy when we got there, bath rusted through, ceilings black with mould.
They took 50 euros per person off us when we check in and didn't want to give it back when we left.
The balustrade on the balcony was very low and made us very nervous.
There are people who actually live in the hotel and they weren't to happy to share their pool area with holiday makers.
The pool area had a total of 6 sun beds in total, these were all in bad condition.
All in all, the hotel wasn't a pleasurable place to be and with so manny other apartment and hotels in the area you will definitely be able to do better, even on a budget.

I stayed at Evamar with a few female friends for a hen weekend.
The staff were friendly.
Yes 50euro deposit per person- don't loose your receipt or you won't get your money back!
I think it was 10euros for a deposit box.
Pool area was clean enough, only maybe 10sunbeds, but plenty of space to put a lilo down (lilos are about roughly 5euros!!)
The bar had a good selection of drinks! And they done cocktails!!
The rooms were basic, we had a faulty tap and a bed slat had snapped, we reported both items to reception and it was looked at right away!
The location was good, within walking distance to the beach, shops etc and the Sunday market is literally across the road!!
It cost us around 70euros in a taxi from the airport to the apartments.

I just wanted to put this review on to let people know about our stay, before we went to benidorm we were terrified when we had read some reviews on here, but it really wasn't that bad!!!
