My husband, daughter and I were here last night. The panoramic view was ever changing with the sun setting into the Mediterranean. We had happy hour cocktails and then 3 courses with many surprise small courses in between. The food was delicious (octopus, sea bream, suckling pig, lamb), expect small perfectly presented portions. Antonio was a friendly host. Price worked out at 50 euros a person for the meal which we thought was good for the wonderful dinning experience

Occasionally in one's culinary adventures you stumble onto an absolute gem without expecting it.  It was an absolute and completely unexpected delight to experience such a refined and richly rewarding dining experience at the rooftop terrace restaurant of the Grand Hotel Continental.  We arrived in Sorrento without a reservation and were searching for a place to eat, little expecting to find a sublime dining experience.  We thought that dining at a rooftop restaurant would be appealing if only for the views of the Amalfi coast, but were not anticipating the excellence that followed.

Little did we expect to have a magnificent meal accompanied by impeccable service.   We were directed to our table by Antonio, who is accomodating beyond belief and a master at making you feel welcome.   As expected, the panoramic views of the coastline from our table were magical.

Our server Franco was a quintessential Italian professional in every respect, anticipating our every need.   We started with a risotto with shrimp which was beautifuly presented and perfectly prepared, and a tagliatelle pasta of equal merit with olives and anchovies in a delicate tomato-based sauce.   Both pastas were complex, concentrated, and intricately spiced and presented.

Our next courses were a sea bass with a delightful herb sauce and a salted cod fish with a complex caper, arrugula and olive oil emulsion, both superb.  The wine list is very well thought out and reasonably priced -- we had an impressive Cusumano Jale chardonnay from Sicily at a modest 28 euros.

Breads were of excellent quality and variety, and served with superb DOC olive oil.  Some complimentary courses were served, and like everything else were beautiful in appearance and tasted molto bene.

This restaurant has only been open for a bit less than two years, and already deserves to be recognized as among the best on the Amalfi Coast.  Bravo to the chef, Antonio and Franco for making our evening so memorable.  It should only be a short time before Michelin visits and gives this establishment the recognition it deserves (which from a selfish standpoint might make future reservations more difficult).   But for the time being, Terrazza Vittoria is truly hiding its light under a basket.

We ate here on 3rd night of our trip and returned tonight. The combination of location food and staff led by Antonio make this a special experience.
Roof top views of the 'bay' with sunset alone are stunning, windy or not.
Food is all good with some outstanding dishes (octopus is killer) and generous
E.g.:
Croutons with oil and complimentary prosecco initially followed by amuse bouche.
Interesting bread selection and presentation
Pre dessert, dessert then post dessert. Even coffee comes with additions.
Antonio is a treasure and in combination with a very good chef makes for a perfect experience.
Not to be missed just as long as these 2 guys remain in harness.
Many thanks

We were staying in the hotel (on B&B) but had seen the reviews on TripAdvisor so we booked a dinner here - then came back again because it was soo good!

The view is stunning - a huge vista of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The first night we stayed there was the weekend of National Day, so a variety of villages and towns around the bay had fireworks which we could see. And to watch sunset in that setting was truly memorable - anyone with a romantic streak will have it well and truly exercised!

The variety of the menu is good, meaning that there is a lot of choice - but the food itself is of high quality and presented extremely well. Needless to say, the seafood is very tasty!

Service was of a very high quality - and Antonio was extremely helpful in our choice of wine, given that there are a number of grapes in local wine that were unfamiliar to me.

Overall, an excellent restuarant which is deservedly full for much of the time! Thank you Antonio and the rest of the staff - you made us happy!

This restaurant is on a terrace on top of Hotel Continental in Sorrento. The view, over the Bay of Naples, is quite wonderful. The night we were there it was very windy, which added a little excitement to the meal! Service was friendly and excellent, and the food, while relatively simple, was very good. No architectural plates here! I had a seafood risotto, which was perfectly prepared. I asked for help in choosing a wine, and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter steered me towards a relatively inexpensive wine, rather than some of the higher priced ones on the wine list. I was also quite surprised by how low the bill was for such an excellent meal...lower than the lunch bill at some other places.
