This place is too good to be true! Wow! What a holiday we have just had! We were a family of 5 , my husband and I plus- boys age 15, 11 and girl age 7. Ideal choice!!! Boys loved the football table and the massive dining table on terrace which turned into table tennis table which lent itself to a tournament daily - my daughter loved the hammock , the pool and the kittens, plus the sky tv in English. for me it was the setting , the sunset, the wonderful produce Franco left for me to cook , looking onto his vineyards , the views onto Capri and the sea , and pretending I was on a cooking programme on the lifestyle channel. My husband found the roads hairy at first till we got used to it! Italians are crazy drivers!! We did so much in 6 days - I can't believe!! Positano , Pompeii , climbed Vesuvius , Herculaneum - fantastic. ! One hour, boat trip round the blue caves Capri - kids loved the speed boat and getting wet! , and the main museum Naples . Saw lots of weddings , happy couples , and drank lots of limoncello !!! Lovely!!! Can't wait to go back one day when funds allow!!! Exceptional!!!
We wondered if the reviews on Chalet Annie were an exaggeration but discovered everything as described and we were thrilled. Tiziana met us in Sorrento and helped us to find our holiday chalet. It is as been ably described by previous reviewers and we can only confirm that the facilities and location were beyond our expectation and we had a memorable holiday. Our grandchildren loved swimming in the pool. There were lots of toys available for their amusement. It was also a safe environment for them to play in.
We had rented a Transit van which is a large vehicle for the roads in this area. It was an eye-opener to experience the driving habits of the locals. Our trip along the Amalfi Coast will remain in our memories for a long time for all manor of reasons. My grandson Jack loved the bumpy ride on the boat to Capri while others were trying to keep their breakfast down. We enjoyed Capri and had a calmer return trip to Sorrento.
The views over Naples Bay are outstanding and every evening sunset was accompanied by a vivid display of reds, purples and blues. We have quite the collection of pictures of the bay at dusk. We did most of our shopping for groceries in S. Agata. We also enjoyed the strawberries sold in the lay bye at the entrance to the driveway into Chalet Annie.
We much preferred being out of Sorrento (It is about 8 kms into town). It is a truly charming town with lots to offer but it doesn't offer the quiet and fume free atmosphere that we experienced from the hill overlooking Naples Bay. Thank you Tiziana for making our time at Chalet Annie a "Stay to Remember."

We stayed in Chalet Annie for six nights in April 2014. The house is really well equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, towels of every size. Plenty of chairs and several TVs if that's what you require. Plenty of games too, though unfortunately we only found these on our last day. The views from the terrace and garden are stunning. There are views over the bay of Naples and you can see Capri plus great views of Vesuvius from the other side of the chalet. Western facing so there are beautiful sunsets. The chalet has 1 big double room with balcony, 1 reasonably sized double and a small twin room plus bunk beds on a wide landing area. Two bathrooms, one upstairs, one down, with showers and a washing machine with dryer.
The owners were wonderful and couldn't have done more for us, especially helpful when someone went into the back of our hire car and we needed to sort out some insurance issues. Also we were given wonderful gifts; three bottles of wine from the vines on the hillside below the property, several freshly picked lettuces plus a delicious cake brought to us on our first morning. Tiziana and her husband Steven were always available by text to answer any questions.
The chalet is up a narrow drive from a large layby on the SS145 road. It was our first time driving in Italy and if you haven't been to this area before, you need to be prepared for steep, winding, narrow roads with some rather fast cars and coaches and some crazy overtaking manoeuvres. HOWEVER, the scenery is absolutely beautiful and easy day trips from this chalet include Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Sorrento (and Capri, which is a MUST) and the Amalfi coast.
There is a small but adequate supermarket down the hill in S.Agata, and there are many other nice little shops and cafés there too. The shops seem to generally close for a few hours in the afternoon then open until 8 or 9. You will need a car if staying here.
We loved Chalet Annie and would definitely stay here again if coming to this beautiful part of the world, and we thoroughly recommend it!
Upon arrival in Sorrento our useless Sat Nav failed to find the address. We phoned Tiziana & no problem as she came & met us & guided us to the property. If this wasn't a great first impression the chalet itself certainly was. Everything has been done to such a high standard & the views are spectacular. Tiziana's father left us 3 bottles of wine produced with grapes from the garden which was delicious & to top it all off on our way out one morning we found a parcel inside which was a wonderful cake cooked for us by Tiziana, a lovely personal touch. Wonderful chalet wonderful hosts.
