The coffee of the breakfast is horrible ! A shame in Naples in Italy where we expect to have the best !
I think you could propose a more typical italian breakfast besides the standard continental one. ut the quality of the coffee is a basic above all in Italy

Excellent stay, in this mercure hotel near the port of Naples. We picked it as a mini honey moon during the covid season, and all measures were good. The personal was really helpful and understanding. Rooms were great and the location is close to all amenities.

When we arrived at the hotel where we originally made a reservation, it turned out that our reservation there was cancelled without us being notified, so we had to search for a replacement hotel on the spot that could accomodate us for 9 nights. Fortunately, staff at Hotel Mercure were very helpful in solving our problem.
The location is superb, close to L1 metro and the Molo Beverello, with a taxi station on the other side of the road and two very good restaurants within 70 meters.
Our room was very clean, had no problem with that. The beds (matrimonial type) were also of good quality.
Due to Covid restrictions, breakfast was not really good: not buffet breakfast, very Italian stlye of food only (=lots of sweet stuff, no eggs etc.). But I'm sure, once the covid craziness is over, they will be able to serve proper buffet breakfast again.
Our rooms were at the second floor and had a view to the very busy street Augustino Depretis.
Even with the doors to the street being sound-proofed, if you have the opportunity - ask and pay for rooms at higher floors. Sound-proofing is not perfect, the roads are very busy. We could get a good sleep, but it was not 100%.

Room tip: rooms on the second floor looking at the road are quite noisy
