A small café a good way along the famous old shopping street in Naples (like Naples equivalent of York Shambles, but 5 times as long and with better food!).
We were ready for a coffee so sat down and ordered a couple of cappuccinos (tasty, a little smaller than in the UK).
The highlight however is the pastries...oh my god! They are delightful.
The one that looks like a pastry equivalent of an armadillo is unassuming to look at. but the taste and texture is to die for. The pastry is layered in a conical way, and the filling is like a cross between cheesecake and a light crème patisserie. I am not selling this well, but trust me...try it!
We also had the Lemon special Baba. All the fun of a traditional Baba, but with a subtly lemon/limoncello layer. Very boozy, but also tastes lighter than it should.
So for this café, a strong four stars for coffee. Location is a 5. Pastries would be a 6!
Prices are sensible (12 Euro for two coffees and two amazing pastries)
