Just avoid it, totally nasty

Cold food, slow service, looks like slop prepared by a chef who has clearly lost the plot or could never cook in the first place
Lots of better places in Pompei

We came around 17. There was no one. Service was not good. We got cold canneloni instead of lasagna. The eggplant with cheese was also cold. Had to sent it back. Lasagna came, but was just bad. Didn't ate it. Also eggplant (melanzane) not good.
Ordered french fries for the kids. But it never came
Ultimately got it when we were paying the bill. Can't recommend this restaurant.

Thank Hoi J

Lovely family run restaurant with a local feel about it, not the typical tourist restaurant attraction you find in most places.
I had linguine with mussels and clams (you must try), and still to date the best Italian pasta dish I have tasted!
My partner had spaghetti Bolognese type of dish which she absolutely loved.
Service was very efficient and friendly and tried to help us through the menu as much as possible with the broken English.
Would most definitely return next time I am in the area.
Oh and the local wine served in there is unreal :)

Nothing exceptional to report. During our stay in Pompeii we ate in numerous establishments, most of which were average at best. However we found the quality of the food here lacking.

It's a funny old set up. You can enter the premises by one of two entrances. Both of which lead to two separate restaurants (or so it appears), which a reception like area and kitchen joining the two. Here you'll find what can almost be described as a porta-loo type cabin for customers to relieve themselves in, plus a large desk where one of the owners was standing guard, keeping an eye on both her staff and customers alike.

Anyway, the food - We both ordered a lasagna as we'd been craving one all day. After a short wait trying not to chip a tooth on the rock hard 'complimentary' bread our lasagnas arrived. I'm no expert, but it was lacking somewhat in actual mince. Plenty of pasta and sauce, but barely any meat. It was also just slopped into a bowl and was poorly presented, but it actually tasted fine. We also ordered two sides of chips which arrived barely cooked. We picked out the ones that were edible and decided to skip dessert. Throughout our meal there was plenty of shouting and bellowing coming from the kitchen, most of which seemed to be instigated by one of the owners, but it added some light entertainment.

When we finally got the waiters attention we received our bill. As with most places in Italy he had added on quite a hefty 'service' fee. I can't recall the exact amount but it was more than what you would expect to pay elsewhere.

Overall it wasn't a horrific experience, just unremarkable. I would class it as a tourist trap.

A traditional family run restaurant, but caters for tourists with a translated menu. Reasonably priced good food with local specialities which I thoroughly enjoyed. They were also very happy to cater for my husband’s preference for plain food.
We were acknowledged and made to feel genuinely welcome when we returned each night.
The little ‘gifts’ of antipasti and limoncello were very much appreciated.
