The hotel is located just off the Piazza Navona and a great spot for exploring Rome. My wife and i stayed for 5 nights at the end of February and could not have been looked after better. We were greeted by Steffano who provided us with a glass of prosecco and a map of the area, hghlighting the best places to eat and drink as well as the major sites. Breakfast was excellent and before venturing out each evening we were offered a complimentary cocktail which was a nice touch. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. To sum up, when we return to Rome, we will avoid the hassle of searching for a place to stay and simply return here.

This small gem is tucked away in a pretty side street right off of Piazza Navona. The location is premium. The staff are super accommodating and professional. Our room, on the top floor, is warm and inviting. Exposed beams add charm and character but one must watch one's head near the wardrobe. Coffee (and breakfast) is brought up to to your room if you ask. Staff is on premises all day til 8 but not really much need after then anyway. They are but a phone call away if necessary. I would recommend this comfortable small hotel.

They are charging me for an upgraded room that I never requested. Toilet wasn't working in my "custom" room so they moved me to another room - saying it was an upgrade but that I didn't have to pay the difference. They have been charging me the difference for 7 months already. They are crooks!

Dear car0lsla, we haven't had the pleasure yet to host you in our Boutique Hotel Gigli d'Oro Suite. Probably you are confusing us with another property. Please contact us for your next trip to Rome. We will make it special for sure. Best regards. The staff

Perfectly located very close to Piazza Navona and a short walk to the Pantheon, all the main sights are within walking distance including the Vatican City, Coliseum, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain amongst others.

We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate a significant birthday and from the moment we arrived were charmed by the building, staff and amenities of this boutique hotel. There are only 11 rooms but there is a sister property in Via del Corso owned by the Jeunes Boutiques group should the Gigli d'oro Suite not have availability when you book!

Our room was called Cinque Lune (there is a nearby Piazza by that name) and was of the lowest category but we found it spacious, light and beautifully furnished with wood flooring and a high wood ceiling. The bed was large and comfortable and the room also contained a sofa, small table and 2 chairs. The centrepiece of the room was the antique stone fireplace, complete with Latin inscription. There were two large shuttered windows that opened wide but needed to be secured at night to keep out the noise of people walking and talking, suitcases wheeling along the cobbles and commercial vehicles outside on the very narrow but surprisingly frequented lane. We slept happily with the window open after the first night of getting used to all the sounds.

The en suite shower room was spacious with a good-sized window, wonderfully warm tiled floor, large shower, large basin and plenty of shelf space for washbags. Everything was clean.

This property does not have a restaurant but serves breakfast in a very cosy room that doubles as a happy hour bar in the late afternoon. We liked the intimacy of the surroundings and the charming personal service of breakfast and afternoon tea/cocktail hour. A free glass of Prosecco was much appreciated at the end of a hard day's sightseeing!

All the staff were very kind and helpful and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and relaxing. We are so glad we chose the Gigli d'Oro for our first trip to Roma but it may not suit those looking for family rooms, a gym, spa or restaurants on site.

We spent a night at Gigli d'Oro and would definitely recommend it. It's a nice location on a quiet street near Piazza Navona. The rooms are clean and bigger than they look online. What sets this hotel apart is the service. Check-in was easy and the hotel's lunch recommendation was excellent. They happily made our other reservations for us, including dinner and a bar. And the service at breakfast was excellent -- I have food allergies and the breakfast room attendant made me eggs to order. He even offered to go out and buy me gluten free bread! The spread they had was impressive for a small hotel. The complimentary afternoon happy hour was a nice treat, too.

All in all, the service was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this cute boutique hotel. Hope to return!
